How was your Father’s Day weekend? In true fashion, I FORGOT TO TAKE FAMILY PICTURES ON THE ACTUAL DAY. Why am I the way I am? Thank goodness for these photos. 🙂 But other than that, it was a nice easy day with a brunch celebrating my own dad and Bryan’s big first day. (If you’re wondering, I did not get him shoes but I got him the phone charger from this post! It was a huge hit!)

Do you ever find yourself stuck on a color for a certain amount of time? All I can see lately is this red. (I think it started with this ASOS dress back in spring.) From that LOFT dress last week to this top, I can’t get enough of this shade of red. It’s so summery and bright and just so darn happy! Ok so yeah, I give my clothes emotions. So like for instance, all of the clothes lying crumpled on the floor of my closet are sad. This top doesn’t realize that’s where she is headed next. I’ll let her down easy, don’t worry. Literally, though, I don’t toss my clothes I slowly let them fall out of my hands. It’s very, very dramatic. 

I can’t help but love Free People in the summer. Everything is just so flowy and weightless and it’s exactly my mood for summer. I am constantly looking for things to pair with my favorite cut-offs and this butterfly printed tunic was the winner. This top also looks really good with denim, maybe even better, but ya’ll it’s hot. We actually started to shoot this with a pair of jeans and it was just too hot for me in Texas. But you guys up north or in cooler climates? Trust me — it’s adorable with jeans, take my word for it. You can find this top here! (Fit info below!)
