This is one of those tops that I had all my fingers and toes crossed in hopes that it would fit the bump. AND IT DID! It’s like Christmas when something fits and is long enough / appropriate. Now I will not lie, I have a lot of fun trying on things that end up being extremely inappropriate and it takes everything in me to not snapchat those outfits. And also my husband stops me out of good conscience. He’s a good man, he knows the limits of my vanity. But if wine were involved…there would be snaps. Ya’ll seriously I tried this dress on at Nordstrom because I loved the color. And you know what I’m actually regretting I didn’t snap a photo because it straight up made me laugh for 10 minutes. (It has a little tie that would be adorable on a non 8 month pregnant lady. But let me tell you I had no idea where to put that tie. It ended up looking like an extra body part that I shouldn’t have. I WAS DYING.) Sometimes I put on crop tops from last summer just to get a giggle out of it. So see? Silver linings. I am my own entertainment these days.

Okay back to this fabulous ikat top! It’s silk and beautiful. Good ol’ Joie can just make a top that I want to keep forever. And lately I’ve been getting stains on my little belly from eating but I didn’t yesterday on this shirt. That is a huge victory. I love this top so much, I think that it will definitely be a date night top after the baby. Because Lord knows silk and babies do not mix. (Not that I won’t try 😉 ) But a beautiful silk top is always something I like to have in my wardrobe, and this one works perfectly from spring to fall.

Also update on the demi panel maternity jeans from Loft (I know you’ve been losing sleep over this, so I’ll release you from the anticipation) Remember how I said I freaking hated the demi panel — I still don’t *love* them and would rather a full panel, but I have to say once your bump gets so big that the panel just folds underneath, they aren’t so bad! Which is good because I really like these jeans and hated talking bad about them. You can find these jeans here. (Also Loft maternity for the win.)

Fit Details

Do not size up in this top! If anything, size down if you don’t need the length. It’s pretty roomy in here!

  1. Oh my gosh, you’re hilarious talking about dressing the bump in ill-fitting outfits! You are such a put-together lady…it’s really funny to imagine you laughing about inadvertently baring your bump! Keep having fun!

  2. Hi there – it seems like you are wearing the Chloe Marcie bag a lot. Do you like it a lot? Is it a good everyday bag? Tx!!
