We grabbed these photos on the way to the shop yesterday morning because the light was just so pretty. When I told my mom that we were walking every morning to work she asked if I would still wear my heels and wedges. “Mom, why would I not wear heels?” Heels go with everything, I told her, even sidewalks.

Side note: Heels do not go with uneven sidewalks, however. I have fallen over twice and maybe slightly twisted an ankle once. But I’m still going to wear my heels. All the way to the emergency room.

(Also, I’m not in the hospital for a twisted ankle. It wasn’t even that twisted. I feel like that should be clarified before you start sending flowers.)

  1. I have been hearing so much about Madewell ! Too bad there isn't one in Canada

  2. Great look (as usual)! Keep wearing those heels – when my kids were in elementary school I regularly wore heels while doing crossing guard duty. I think the children appreciated it. It gave them that 'anything is possible' start to their day.

  3. Uneven sidewalks are the worst (no matter what shoes you wear – of course I could just be klutzy). I've done the fall in twist and heels though and it's not so pretty. Your outfit on the other hand is very pretty 🙂

  4. This is such a cute and summery outfit. Love those shorts! If I had to walk to work, I would totally bring heels in my bag and wear flats while walking. I am so accident prone and would definitely twist an ankle! 🙂

  5. Love the print of those shorts and that you paired them with another bright color – very cute!

  6. You look lovely, but listen to Ritika, please! One bad twist, then torn fibres (perhaps even ligaments) will keep you off your feet for weeks. The resulting inner scar tissue will ensure that your ankle will then forever be susceptible to further injury. It's just a matter of time.

  7. I bike to work. That helps to mitigate the "walking long distances in heels" problem. 🙂

  8. Your hair looks amazing! Even more so than usual! Also, I SO appreciate that you love your heels and wedges so much. As a fellow tall-girl, I struggle wearing high shoes sometimes. I just hate to make others around me feel like midgets, you know? Your confidence is amazing… tall for the win!

  9. Love a slouchy button-up lately. And this yellow color is GORGEOUS. How are you settling in your new home?

  10. I walk to work most days, but I usually wear some kind of canvas sneaker or something more suited for walking distances and change into cute shoes when I get there. Than I can walk faster and less carefully and not worry about being late or hurting myself (or my shoes)! I love walking to work. It's great that you can do that now!

  11. I admire your dedication to heels, I on the other can't stand them, it doesn't matter that it makes most outfits cuter my feet just wont have them lol

  12. I love these shorts, the pattern is just too cool =) Blue and yellow are a great combination too!

  13. Love the ikat shorts!! And the neutral wedges. Such a cute outfit 🙂

  15. I have recently discovered the amazingness that are wedges. Seriously the best of both worlds (those worlds being comfort & adorableness, of course!) I say dangerous sidewalks or not – heels are worth it! : )

  16. Gorgeous outfit, Kendi! The color palate is spectacular, and you're right! The lighting is gorgeous 🙂 If you get a minute, I’d love to know what you think of my latest post!

  17. These colors are so pretty together! And watch out for those sidewalks. If it makes you feel better, I've been known to trip on perfectly flat surfaces while wearing flats. So you might as well keep wearing your heels.

  18. So cute! I wore heels recently on my trip to Boston and let me tell you, heels also do not mesh well with cobblestone streets. Lesson learned.

  24. Like Bornakk published in the past red, when we modify, we picked out those successful PVP anti-war and make a comparison with anti-war aquariums. We challenge the Prevent to offer damage for Shield Throw, so that can damage the PVP anti-war and not allow PVE has a decrease in Buy RS Gold. Actually, PVP anti-war will not collection quite a number of Shield Prevent Value, but their great resiliency qualities offer a Shield Prevent for the figure out. Therefore, as punch for example, the expertise is capable of resulting in Buy WOW Gold massive damage, PVP anti-war usually use PVE outcome Dish at the same time.

  25. Those shorts are so cute! And you're right, heels do go with everything except sidewalks (and maybe going down slippery stairs, haha).

  26. I love the pattern too! It particularly functions in balancing the classy pastel blue color of the shorts because tribal print gives off a sense of humility.
