Happy Friday, friends! We headed out of town this week on our annual after school mini trip to New Braunfels. We hit up our favorite waterpark in Texas, Schlitterbahn and let me tell you — I have more bruises and blisters on my body than I’ve had in 20 years. Water slides hit different in your 40s but damn did I sleep great every night. If you live in Texas, want a cheap-ish thrill and you don’t mind standing around in a swimsuit with strangers all day, I highly recommend Schlitterbahn. We used to go there in our 20s when we lived in the Hill Country so it feels very full circle to bring our kid there.
With that being said, my outfits are a bit light this week but I’ll be right back on my bullshit next week. (And with less bruises.)
Friday | Lunch + Errands
I had this idea for this outfit and it turned out pretty cute! I kept the vest opened at the waistline of my shorts just to give a bit more movement to the top, so it didn’t look so stiff. I am in the large of each piece here + my shorts are on sale! Oh and so are my shoes!

Saturday | Errands + Pool Day
Love this dress from Madewell! I actually got it from Nuuly and it fit a bit tight at the beginning of May but by the end I was able to wear it comfortably! Yay for getting my steps in 🙂 I’m in the large and it’s a perfect fit, but it is more fitted. The dress’s fabric is a nice, thicker fabric with some stretch as well. PS: these jellies are so comfortable! If you’re into this trend, I highly recommend the ones from Steve Madden, no break in time at all.

Sunday | Patio Date
Loved this outfit and will definitely be repeating it! Such a simple but chic look in my opinion. This is one of my favorite tops this year, it’s the Big Shirt from Gap! It’s 30% off right now too. I find it to work with everything, but especially easy shorts like these linen ones. Or boxer shorts would be cute, too. And of course, denim shorts although…I’m finding myself not relying on them as much this year! Is this growth? Too soon to tell.
Also this sunglasses trend is “ugly cute” to me. Meaning I look kinda ugly but they’re cute. I love this pair from Aire, especially in the blue. And so far this brand hasn’t quit on me! My Quay ones have all but bit the dust :/

Monday | Roadtrip!
We drove down to the Hill Country for our favorite after school road trip to Schlitterbahn each year. I chose to go very comfortable and this set was the winner. It’s literally my favorite, every time it’s in the laundry I’m sad. It’s the summer version of leggings and a sweatshirt for me. I’m in the medium of the top, runs big and the large of the shorts. Tuesday | Waterpark w/ family
We actually went 3 times to the park but I only took photos the first day! I meant to catalog all of my swimmy’s but another time will have to do. This day I wore my favorite swimsuit and my matching cover up with Miss G. (Mine’s from Shopbop but we found a kid version on Amazon!)

Wednesday | Family Dinner
This was the last night of our little mini vacay and we decided to hit up an actual sit down restaurant. I didn’t bring anything fancy, it’s a waterpark after all, so I just went with an all black outfit of my favorite Gap tee and these new Agolde shorts I borrowed from Rent the Runway. Thursday | Birthday Lunch for my mom!
We came back into town just in time to have dinner with my mom and sister for her birthday! I wore another RTR piece, this Rebecca Taylor Shirt with my linen shorts. At first I had this top paired with my white midi skirt but I looked like I was recruiting for a cult, so I swapped and really liked how this came together. Also Happy Birthday to my mom!
