Okay so we need to talk about a sweater tee that has quietly become the MVP of my closet — and it’s on sale today! I’ve talked about her before but let’s do a recap.

Meet the Gap CashSoft Raglan Sweater T-Shirt. Specifically in the ‘maize yellow’. Yes, yellow. And before you scroll away, hear me out: this particular shade of  butter yellow is the kind of color that makes people ask “wait, where is that from?” every single time you wear it. It is trend forward but it has legs to stay in your closet for more than this season.

This tee is from their CashSoft line which Gap describes it as cashmere-soft (hence, cashsoft I suppose), but it’s easier to wash than cashmere and made to be lived in. And honestly? They’re not wrong. It has that slightly substantial, sweater-y weight that feels elevated without being fussy. The raglan sleeves give it a relaxed, sporty shape that’s very flattering if I do say so myself.

The CashSoft Raglan Sweater T-Shirt is normally $59.95, and it’s on sale right now for 40% off with their Friends and Family event. But it’s ending tomorrow! Find it here. No code needed!

with wide leg pants

Okay, this is the one that made me realize this tee really can do anything. I paired it with my favorite polka dot pants and somehow it just works?! The brown and the yellow complement each other and  doesn’t compete with the pattern, it completes it. When you’re wearing a bold printed pant, you want a top that’s interesting enough to be intentional but chill enough to let the pants shine. This tee does exactly that. I also paired with with my navy wide leg pants which was another no-brainer look.

with a white midi skirt

I know I’ve shared this outfit a few times, but it’s a favorite of mine. The sweater tee tucks nice into a flowy white midi skirt and the whole thing reads so fresh and effortless. The soft yellow against all-white is chef’s kiss, and the belt bag keeps it casual. 10/10 would wear to brunch, shopping / errands or literally just a Tuesday.

with jeans

This is my most-reached-for combo. The lemon yellow + medium or dark wash denim is chef’s kiss — the color does all the work and you look put together while exerting approximately zero effort. Tuck in the front just slightly, add a neutral shoe, and you have yourself an outfit. Done.

with a blazer

The tee and the blazer are close enough in color that it reads as intentional tonal dressing rather than an accident, and the white shoes keep the whole thing feeling crisp and fresh instead of washed out. This is the outfit for when you want to look like you really thought about it — even if the whole thing came together in five minutes. Truly one of my favorite combinations lately.

Butter yellow is having a serious moment, and this particular version is wearable in a way that bolder yellows sometimes aren’t. Plus it’s on sale. It’s basically the sartorial equivalent of good news. Go get it. Your future outfits will thank you.
