Hello my friends! I am back with my first full week of getting dressed in January. That might sound like a very boring sentence to you, but for me it sounds like progress. January has long been a mental health struggle for me, personally and professionally. Remember my quite documented struggle a few years ago (2024) of trying to get dressed in anything that wasn’t leggings? It truly was a challenge for me to get dressed everyday, even getting up and out of bed was a challenge mentally. But I can officially say I’ve pushed past the January mental fatigue this year. I think I can attribute this to consistent therapy, the fact that we’ve had warmer, sunnier days than usual (seasonal depression can be a real struggle for me) and finding joy again in getting dressed. But yeah, it’s probably…most definitely the therapy. (Shout out to Dr. Michael!) Who knew that therapy was good for the soul and good for the wardrobe.
This past week was a bit of a blur. B was out of town for the first half the week and that always throws me for a loop. I am such a schedule and routine person, I love a consistent day-to-day and a plan with zero surprises. (Which rarely happens, but a girl can dream.) So the first half of my week was a bit off with airport runs and juggling everything and it just throws me for a loop. I’m also slowly getting back to my daily work schedule after the holidays and I am distracted with a capital D. However, I have found that getting dressed intentionally has been very helpful in conquering my to-do’s this week. And did you notice? We are back on our weekly editorial schedule here, too. I am still tossing around a substack idea that I wanted to get going this month, but I find I’m dragging my feet on. So we shall see on that front.
Let’s get to this week’s outfits!

I actually wore this outfit before I wore this one here. This is how I knew I wanted to shoot the other outfit but with the boots. I am my own muse. I feel like the boots and the belt really tied the whole look together! But of course the flats were great for this day and work well with this look, too. These flats are usually just lying around which is why I wear them so often. Plus they just go with everything.
Can’t stop wearing these jeans and won’t stop recommending them. 10/10 my favorites right now from Gap.

I guess it was just a denim on denim kind of week for me. I am LIVING for this jacket from Madewell. It was in my Nuuly and I’ve loved it so much, I’ve worn it 3 times since I’ve received it last week. I can’t decide which side I like best (it’s reversible). Definitely don’t size up as it’s a relaxed fit (this is the large.)
I wore this running errands / working at a coffee shop. Just an easy mom-ish outfit!

This was my airport pick up outfit! I’m telling you my Nuuly this month was a really good one. And I know what you are thinking — “aren’t you in charge of picking the pieces?” Yes exactly, BUT you never know the condition, the fit, the sizing. And everything this month fits perfectly and is exactly what I wanted to wear. I’m on a Nuuly high right now.
This top is from Nuuly, but it’s Citizens of Humanity via Nordstrom. You can find it here and it DEFINITELY runs big. This is the large and it’s a touch too big for me. Pants are quince and too small for me. But if we average the two of them together, this outfit fits perfectly. (But for real size up on the pants.)

I can’t stop wearing these jeans. I would even hesitate to call them jeans actually — they’re denim pants. They’re so soft and they have a drawstring waist (but it doesn’t cinch, it’s just there to tie) and I wear them all the time. I’m in the large and I love the relaxed fit. They’re under $100 if you too want pajama jeans.
This is an old sweater but I’ll link a similar here!

You saw this outfit here, but I did technically wear it so I’m posting it here as well. Same jacket, different side and different jeans this time around. You can of course see the full outfit here.
Jeans are on major sale, too! Find them here.

Another Nuuly find (nuuly is the rental service by the way! I do round ups of them when I rent them!) was this set. I rented it for our Anniversary dinner but I wanted to give it a trial run. I think heels would be a better fit because the length is so long on the pants, but definitely a pointed toe shoe. I’ve linked the similar version at Anthropologie, as I think this one is the Nuuly exclusive one.

Last but not least, I layered this green sweater and green blazer even though they aren’t an exact match. I felt like that they complemented each other really well!
For whatever reason, this sweater isn’t online right now at Quince but this hue is in a pretty cardigan! I’ll link it here.
