I got off of my routine last week so I decided to push it to this week (instead of doubling up last week) so we could get back on track with WIWLW-ish. I missed a few days of outfits anyways, so it works perfectly. Next week will have this week’s outfits and so on! That is until I get off track again…

Over the weekend we were looking through movies to watch and since it’s spooky season, all of the horror movies are listed first. That’s when I realized I missed a huge opportunity in naming this series: It could have been ‘I Know What I Wore Last Week” ala “I Know What You Did Last Summer.” A real missed opp, I’m afraid.

A small side note: Do you know what this series has done for me? It’s really helped me focus on pieces that I truly love and how I can re-wear them in the best ways. It’s also helped me get dressed (better) every single day. So thank you for encouraging me with this series, it’s been so fun and I find myself enjoying getting dressed again.

Okay, let’s get to last week’s outfits!

Saturday, errands
Amazon Sweater | Gap Horseshoe Jeans | Madewell Shoes / Similar | Quince Crossbody

I live in these jeans, I’m telling you. They’re my ‘I don’t want to get dressed but I must’ jeans. My jeans are 40% off! They’re kind of a mix between a jean and a pant, with a drawstring waist. I am in the medium, fit is relaxed. Find them here. I’m in the medium of the sweater top, works really well for this warm fall we are having — it’s under $100!

Saturday, date night
Madewell smocked dress | Schutz flats | Similar Purse

You’ve seen this a few days ago and that’s because I wore the same outfit twice. When it works, it works. I love this dress! It fits so well and is so flattering. I don’t love a sleeveless always, but this one I feel comfortable in. Also sorry I haven’t shown too many ways to wear it, I just love the mix of black and brown with it. This dress does run generously! Size down if in between sizes.

Sunday, brunch and play date
J.Crew Sweater | Gap Linen Shorts | Similar Flats | Madewell Purse

Sorry this one is a bit hard to see because it’s such a dark hue. I should have set up a ring light for this snap! This is the oversized J.Crew sweater that I am OBSESSED with and if I could influence you to just buy one thing this fall it is this top. I am in the medium and it’s the most perfect oversized relaxed loose but not too loose fit ever. Worth every amount of grammatical error I just left in that run-on sentence. Find it here on major sale! (You can size down if you are in between sizes.)

I wore this with my Gap linen shorts which have been a workhorse in my wardrobe ever since I picked them up in May. It’s a warm fall so they’re getting used now too. They’re on clearance now, I’m in the medium.

Monday, coffee shop
J.Crew Sweater | Quince Silk Skirt (L) | Similar Flats

This outfit proves why I like taking selfies of my outfit — because I didn’t realize it until after I took this photo that I wish I would have done a nude purse with this look. I’m sure I’ll repeat this outfit again and when I do, a nude tote will be added. I was thinking the black would make it more grounded, but instead it just looks a little off to me. All that to say, I know I post selfies iad nauseam and that it’s my job at this point, but I honestly take them for myself as well. There is something about a selfie vs a mirror that helps me really examine an outfit.

This sweater is SO soft from J.Crew and I honestly don’t understand the reviews. (It has a 4.4 but in my book it’s a solid 5) It’s soft, the sleeves are wide but not annoying and I love the loose fit. A loose fitting sweater?! Be still my heart. I’m in the medium, relaxed, loose fit. On sale here!

Tuesday, WFH, vet office
J.Crew Blouse | Madewell Jeans | YSL Purse | Similar Flats

I had to take the kitten to the vet (just a check up and vaccines, she’s healthy!) and I took it as an opportunity to dress cute. Waiting rooms hate to see me coming. So I took a chance on this J.Crew blouse, even though it was cropped and I actually love it. It’s cropped but not belly button cropped. Country club, not night club. I am in the medium and it fits relaxed and boxy and works well with high waist jeans or pants. Find it here!

These jeans are my FAVORITE. I am in the 30, fits me well a size up.

Wednesday, WFH
J.Crew Blouse | Quince Crepe Shorts | Vince Flats | Madewell Purse

Another day, another J.Crew blouse that I love. I do wish it were silk and not viscose but I will say, because it’s viscose it didn’t wrinkle one bit all day. And for that, mad respect. I am in the 10 of the blouse for the boobs — you know the drill. Otherwise, it fits TTS! On sale, too!

I sized up in the Quince shorts and suggest the same! They run snug at the waist / hip area. I am in the 10. They’ve also been a workhorse this fall — such an easy alternative for pants for this warmer autumn. Find them under $50 here.

Thursday, Meeting
Quince Poplin Shirt | Madewell Skirt | Vince Flats | J.Crew Bag

Admittedly I probably bought the wrong size of this poplin blouse — it’s not meant to fit relaxed but sometimes I like to see if a size up will fit the way I want it to. I’m not sure if that’s what happened here, as this is a tailored poplin blouse and I’m in the large. A medium would have probably been a better fit, but I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again: I’m too lazy to return. A large for me it is. It did tuck nicely into this Madewell skirt, I have to say. The skirt, also viscose, has a nice weight to it that it doesn’t show every lump and bump. I’m in the 8, fit is TTS.

Friday, WFH
Lioness Blazer | Gap Tee | J.Crew Denim Shorts | Vince Flats | Polo hat

I ended up grabbing this blazer in black ( I have it in the green here) and I’m so tempted to get it in the dark brown. It’s my favorite fit of a blazer ever. I love it — it’s oversized without being too big. It fits over tees without feeling bulky, as well. I wear the medium, fit is oversized! It’s under $100, as well.

We are still doing shorts over here if you can believe it. I’m over it, but trying my best to make it work. These are some favorites from this summer, on sale here!
