If you’ve followed me for a long time you know that I can go all in on a trend. Almost too far sometimes, buying multiples of a trend without realizing that I’ve started a full blown collection. I’ve learned to accept this about myself and not fight it but instead to contain it. On one hand, my job is to shop and to share but on the other hand I only have one (ok, ok…two) closets and they can’t hold every single thing I want to purchase. Therefore I am saying this out loud to you, here and now: I cannot buy another pair of dark brown jeans.

Yes, that’s right. My current shopping obsession is dark brown jeans. And I’m seeing them EVERYWHERE.  I didn’t realize it until I bought these from J.Crew recently...maybe too recently. You see, they are pretty similar to my Gap ones, although they do serve different purposes and have different vibes / silhouettes. So for that I say this trend has been contained. As this pair has a more chino feel with a vintage flare and can be a touch more elevated this these wide leg jeans from Gap. And I’ll be honest: I *may* mess around and get a brown trouser but after that point, it’s going to become duplicates of the same item just in a different font.

As I was saying, these are a more chino feel with a nice amount of stretch. I sized up in J.Crew this fall across the board on pants, so these are the 30. They fit great! (Regular length for me, too.) I love the dark brown for this fall and it gives the best vintage vibe, too. You can find them here with some hues on sale!

PS: my cardigan is Quince and I love it. It’s soft without being itchy. Now it is quite warm, so depending on where you live it may be a later type of sweater. I am in the medium, it runs generously. Find it here!

Fit Details

I am in the medium of the cardigan, it’s a loose generous fit. Keep that in mind when shopping! I am in the 30 of the jeans, they are more fitted and these fit me perfectly. They stretch with wear, but not a whole size.

Monthly Capsule Wardrobe

Each month I create monthly capsules out of my favorite pieces, perfectly curated for each month.
