I popped into Zara “just to browse” (famous last words) and walked out with an armful of pre-fall pieces that feel just right for August. You know that tricky in-between season when you’re still sweating but secretly craving sweater weather? Zara is nailing it right now. Light linens, fun textures, and neutrals that make you feel like you’ve got your life together, even if your iced coffee is sweating as much as you are. I tried on way more than I planned (for research, of course) but I narrowed it down to 8 finds worth grabbing now before they disappear.
THIS top!! It’s one of those where am I going to where this kind of tops but I’ll figure that out later. It’s a fuzzy, fabric and I love it. Not really feathers but not not feathers… it’s more like muppet fur if that makes sense at all. I am in the medium here, and it fits TTS. Only size up for length as it does run slightly cropped.
I’m thinking a date night top right? With these jeans or barrel jeans and heels?!
I absolutely love this top and ended up buying it. I’m not quite sure how I’m going to style it just yet, but I do love it as it’s bouncy and loose, very bohemian of me. I am in the large and I like this length on me!
It’s a springy / bouncy fabric, slightly sheer so a camisole may be needed for comfort.
I loved this little top and I bought it but beware as it runs big! The straps are not adjustable, the ties are sewn into place. SO that’s nice but not adjustable and I did find that they slipped down at times. I you have smaller chest, definitely size down. I’m in the medium and it fits plenty loose, so keep that in mind!
I absolutely loved these jeans. The fit is perfect – straight leg but not too slouchy or loose. You could size up for a more relaxed fit in the waist / hips overall. I’m in the 8, I found them to be TTS but it looks like on the model they fit more relaxed, so for that I’d get the 10. They also come in a few color ways as well. If you’ve never bought Zara jeans before, try them! I find them to fit well and they’re a great price and wash out / wear well over time.

I didn’t realize it but I’m kind of on a maxi dress kick right now. This one is gorgeous and hear me when I say it is super easy to wear. It’s a brushed slinky fabric, high neckline and it doesn’t cling to my midsection. IT DOESN’T CLING!! That alone makes it a winner for me. The fabric does have some weight to it, so it’s drapey and holds its shape. I am in the large, fit is TTS but I sized up for a bit more wiggle room.
As you’ve seen on here last week, you already know I LOVED this top and brought her home. In fact, I have already worn her twice and shot a whole outfit with her. We are a perfect match; I mean have I ever met a white blouse I didn’t immediately buy?! The answer is no. This one fits loose / relaxed but I went ahead with the large because I liked the fit across the chest. Non sheer but is lightweight, is just fine with a nude bra.
(PS: this is the Mango skort but there is a Zara version as well. I’ve tried it on, I tried the large and it fit me well.)
I also loved this dress, but didn’t end up getting it. It’s a gorgeous linen dress with a belt, which I loved. I am in the medium, it runs TTS with the top being the most generous. So if you have smaller boobs, you could probably size down one. Super cute and would be gorgeous if you are in need of a tailored linen dress. (Quite specific but you know who you are.)
This is the sweetest top and it has a bit of fabric that hides your bra from showing in the middle, so that’s nice! It’s a linen fabric and feels like the right amount of summer to wear into fall. Linen feels so spring / summer to me but this will work well right into our warm autumn. I’m in the medium, it fits true but is a relaxed / generous fit. This top comes in a blue as well but I am partial to the khaki / black! The sleeves are pretty puffy just FYI.
