I was bragging about how this top has a little piece of fabric that hides the separation between the blouse and then I went and shot it with said fabric folded under. Best part? I didn’t realize this mishap until today. This is just so Kendi, I say with a knowing sigh. You can *kind of* see the panel that I’m talking about in the third photo, looks like right before it got folded over for the rest of the shoot. Must have gotten messed up when I did my usual cartwheel in the alley way in between shots. Damn, I’ll have to be more careful next time.
Anyways. This top is a real cutie and aligns with my August mantra: it feels like summer but my brain says fall. So this shirt is a great compromise. It’s still a nice linen fabric but something about the shape says fall to me. The puff sleeves? the length? I don’t know but it’s giving transition into fall and I like it. I can see this with black denim, even a nice blue denim too. It’s quite versatile and oh-so-cute with the little bows. I noticed that I still love whimsical details but I am not drawn to them as much as I used to be. An Anthro sales rack used to hate to see me coming. I can’t tell if this is age or if I’m just boring now, but this little top has a bit of whimsy that I used to love.
I’m in the medium and I feel like it’s a generous fit. And the puff sleeves be puffing, just keep that in mind. Puff sleeves can be divisive so just know that they’re not messing around. There is elastic at the arm (but it’s not too tight, no lines left). And I swear to god there is a panel in the middle in between the bows, so your bra doesn’t HAVE to show all over the internet unless you want it to.
