My friends, you have been asking and I am here to deliver. I promise you that I will post a ‘What I Wore Last Week’ next week. Which would be a post about what I’m wearing this week, but posted next week, of course. Makes sense. You see the pause of my WIWLW has been…well because I haven’t been wearing anything worth seeing. I can honestly tell you I don’t know what I’ve been wearing before this week, even though I’m 90% sure I have worn clothes (?) but only because I have the evidence of laundry. But what it was? Well apparently that’s none of my business because I sure didn’t selfie it. In the last three weeks, we have had the end of summer, which meant the end of camps, the start of school and a baby girl’s birthday to plan and to party therefore my brain is frazzle-dazzled. It has been fun! It has been long! It has been forgettable because I don’t remember many details! So let’s just consider it lost time because my brain sure does. What did I wear last week? No idea. And if I didn’t selfie it, it didn’t happen.
But this week I have been a) getting dressed and b) documenting it so there WILL be a WIWLW next week! *pinky promise*

Okay so are we shopping for future outfits? Yes? No? Well either way I have two pieces that can work well for now AND later. The first one is this linen vest from Quince. Also who knew I’d be a vest girl? Not me, I didn’t think it was going to work out with these tatas but when you find the right fit, you can make anything work. This one is a bit different for me because it’s the longline silhouette meaning it’s hella long. I like this look because I too am hella long, so it elongates me even further. However for a styling note, I would suggest unbuttoning the last few buttons to meet the waist of your pants, just to give some separation and make the look a touch more flattering. To review on long vests keep the top ones buttoned, the last few unbuttoned, got it?
For fit, I am in the medium and honestly I find it fits pretty generously. It’s not too tight on the chest, which makes me believe it runs loose. If you don’t need extra room at the chest, I’d suggest a size down. If not, stay TTS.

The second now/later piece that I highly suggest is this pair of denim! I’m a big fan of Quince denim and I think I’ve figured out sizing as well. If you hav a rounder waist or you find waistbands are typically the area you need some wiggle room in, then go up a size! I am usually a 29 in denim but can do a 30 as well, and I’m in the 30 here. Perfect fit. Loose where they need to be and not too tight at the waist, but still fitted. I also LOVE this faded black. It’s less harsh than a full black denim and a way easier rinse to transition into fall than straight black. You can find this pair also under $50 here!
