That’s right — they’re wide leg. Does this mean I’ve gone over to the other side? Am I a wide leg jean girly now? I mean, maybe but here is the deal – I still feel like I’m in junior high a bit. I’m trying my best to embrace it. I even went with sneakers for this look, how very junior high of me. It’s PE today, so gotta be prepared.
For what it’s worth, this pair of Chambray Trousers as J.Crew is calling them are so comfortable which is why I’ve been wearing them non-stop. They are comfortable and quite flattering, the high rise waist and the soft denim gives the flare leg a really casual look. I actually think I can get away with wide leg jeans if it’s these. I feel like it has been a while too that I’ve found a pair of soft denim. Now don’t get me wrong, they have structure, but this pair feels worn-in already. Not stiff or too tight. 100% denim has it’s perks, but give me a hint of elastane and I’m a happy woman. They run TTS, maybe even slightly generous in the best way. (Probably the run the most generous in the waist, but that’s where I need it, so if you have a smaller waist size down.) The length is perfect for me (I’m in the regular length FYI and I’m 5’9″), so that tells me they run a bit long. You can find them via J.Crew here!
Side note — my top is old Frank & Eileen. Like probably from 2018 / 2019 if I can remember. But I’m pretty sure it’s this blouse right here. I am in the large. But I’ve rounded up a few options below, as well!
