Sometimes I forget that florals don’t always have to be bright and sweet; they can be dark and moody, too. I initially paired (and shot!) this top with a lighter denim but just didn’t love the outfit. So we reshot it with black denim and it felt exactly right. Don’t you love when you find a perfect pairing in your closet? Like they were meant for each other. I’ve bought quite a few flats lately. Have you noticed any changes in your footwear since last year? I’m all sneakers and flats lately. Will I return to heels? Only time will tell, my friends. What are ya’ll up to this weekend? We are having some house updates start this Saturday– getting wood floors in our sunroom and bedroom. It’s been our plan for 5 years now and I’m so excited! Our carpet is pretty gross and I’m so ready to get it out of here. I’m going to start sharing home updates here as well, so I’ll share the progress with y’all soon! I hope you have a happy weekend.

Weirdly I always get excited when my name pops up for shirts. Granted it’s a fabric so it happens but still!
