As we head into autumn, I love to keep to simple colors and basic pieces when thinking of my fall wardrobe. And….then I found this dress and threw that principle right out the door. I’m an easy sell when it comes to a pretty dress. I am actually not a huge fan of chevron print but I just love this dress with the high neckline and the ruffled skirt. It’s a perfect transitional dress for fall and will look just as adorable this winter with dark tights and booties. But let’s cross that bridge when we get there; no tights talk until it’s absolutely necessary, right?
I always think that in your closet you always need at least one wild card Ā — may it be a dress or a top or a really great jacket. This dressĀ is my wild card this season.Ā I tend to wear my most essential autumn pieces like sweaters, knits, etc the most but love a wild card here and again. You’ve got to keep yourself guessing, you know?
(PS: ’tis the season for over the knee boots! I’m wearing the Stuart Weitzman ‘Thighland’ boots and I’ve foundĀ an under $300 option here and an under $150 option here!)
