I was not so sure of this tassel and lace up trend when I saw it coming. Especially lace up blouses, I mean lace up shoes I can get behind but the lace on the top seemed well, over the top. But as I do with most trends in time I came around to the idea of adding in a tie feature and as it turns out I  love the delicate detail it gives to a simple silk blouse. Same with these wedges, what could be just a your everyday wedges end up looking delicate and feminine with lace up tassel ties.

Each summer I go on a hunt for an updated wedge from the year before and this year’s search was easy and ended before summer even began thanks to these Vince Camuto wedges. Bonus points because they also look great with skirts and shorts, which sometimes I find difficult with lace up heels or shoes because it always feels like they cut me off at the ankle. Not these girls, they hit right below my ankle, giving lots of leg room. (I also love these lace up wedges, with a bit more height than the ones I’m wearing.) Oh who am I kidding? I love all the shoes. Here are a few of my favorite with the lace up trend.

  1. Great look! Do you have any tips for how to tie lace up shoes? I’ve bought a couple pairs, but I’ve been struggling to figure out how to wrap them around my ankle and then tie them so they stay put once I start walking around! Help a girl out!! ?

    1. Hi! So these are actually long enough to stay tied — I find sometimes the ties aren’t long enough to wrap around my ankle twice and tie, but these are. My secret is that I wrap it around the back first, cross in the back, then bring it around and cross it again tight and then tie. It stayed all day 🙂

  2. i love these wedges!! I’ve been waiting to see what you’d post for summer 🙂

  3. Your casual looks are my favorite! What is the name of this denim? I saw the one’s you linked are the same color but not as distressed. I like the distressing on yours!

    1. I believe these are the Hudson Nico jeans like the ones I linked but these were bought last spring, so that’s probably why the distressing is a bit different. Hope that helps!

  4. Super adorable! I second on the wedges — how do you keep them wrapped up???

    1. Haha — I promise it’s not sorcery 😉 I answered above! I basically wrapped it around my ankle twice tightly and then tied it tight. These are more of a suede lace so they actually stayed put!

  5. This is one stunning top and you styled it absolutely perfectly! LOVE your wedges and bag.
