The other evening we stopped into the mall to shop for my husband some new pants for an upcoming trip (at Uniqlo, by the way! If your husband is needing some easy work pants, highly recommend. They have all styles, too and well priced.) Then it hit me: I don’t go to the mall like I used to. I hadn’t been to the mall since the Nordstrom Anniversary sale in July, which is wild. I used to go all the time, like once a week probably. But now with online shopping and the fact that I’m always with my daughter and if I’m shopping, she’s shopping. (And honestly we can’t afford that.) So while my daughter needed her pretzel and carousel ride fix, I popped into Zara for a little quickie. I did NOT expect to find what I did because Zara can be hot or cold most of the time. But I found some really nice essentials for fall and wanted to share them with you! Sweaters, jackets and pants ahead…and not a-one of them is over $100. Let me show you what I got!

Love this jacket and if you can grab it, do! It’s a lightweight fabric so it’s perfect for the transitional fall we are in and then it’ll work again in the spring. I am in the medium, it runs true to size with a looser fit.
I’ve found a dupe on Amazon but I’ve not seen them in person, just FYI so I can’t vouch for them personally.

This sweater runs quite big! I need to return for a medium, this is a large and it’s a but too big. I’m usually a Zara large so that surprised me! If you are smaller up top, definitely size down. I am in the large of the pants, slightly more fitted at the waist for me. Super cute cute though and a more mid-weight fabric with structure.

The way I beelined for this sweatshirt when I saw it. I LOVE this shade of red, always have, always will. I find it to be the best pop of color in the fall / winter, it works so well with neutrals. Plus it has this nice vintage washed feel that I love. It also comes in a really pretty royal blue, too! I am in the medium — I tried the large on first in the store and it was way too big. This one runs loose / generously. I wouldn’t say oversized, just a generous fit.

Look, if there is an embroidered white top from Zara I’m going to buy it. That’s just the way it’s going to be. I love an embroidered top and this one is a loose fit with a very loose, almost a-line bodice. It’s slightly sheer but the embroidery helps. I just noticed it’s more sheer in the lower half that isn’t embroidered. I am in the medium and it fits generously!

I cannot wait until it’s jacket weather around here and trust me — I will be ready. I love Zara’s jackets, I find them very well made and fully lined. This one fits perfectly, slightly cropped but with generous fit in the jacket itself. I’m in the medium. This one is under $100!

I’m telling you, once I cracked the rugby top code the floodgates opened. I’ve loved this style for a few falls now but I just couldn’t find the right fit. I’ve figured out that for me it’s a looser fit overall, but not too boxy. This one is a knit top so it hangs more like a sweater than a tee, love that for me. I am in the large, fit is true too size but relaxed.
