Guess what? I have tried on the LOT of Spanx jeans and I have narrowed it down to my 4 favorite. Yes, it’s taken me since February but I can honesty say I’ve tried them all. If you’ve wondered about Spanx denim before, let me be your guide! They’re definitely an investment but they’re worth it. They keep their shape, they hold up in the wash and they look brand new even after multiple wears. And I’ve got my favorite four for you below!
PS: Spanx is having a sale today and tomorrow with 20% off so if you wanna try them out, use code LTK20!
The Very Approachable Barrel Jeans

If you’ve been wary of the barrel jean silhouette, but also kind of curious about it…this is a great pair for you! It’s a looser, generous fit overall and the barrel shape is definitive but not crazy. You don’t feel like you’re wearing a trend in these. I have tried a few sizes and medium is the best fit for me in this pair of jeans. (This is the large here, so if they look a little big, they are!) This was one of my favorite pairs this spring and I can’t wait to get back to wearing denim full time again.

The Not-Too-Wide-Leg Jeans

I find some wide leg jeans to a) not be wide leg and b) too wide leg. I am always looking for that balance of a wide leg but not overwhelming. Even at my heigh I find wide leg jeans can be just too much. This pair has a perfect balance of being a wider leg jean, but not overwhelming in anyway. I think it would be great for petites, as well. (But take that with a grain of salt, I’ve been this height since I was 13.) This pair is the right amount of wide leg with a high rise waist. The waist is slightly generous but there is some compression as well. I am in the regular length and it’s perfect for flats. (I would go with the longer length if I planned on wearing heels.) This pair is your elevated everyday denim.

The Most Flattering Fit

Okay so this pair is already on sale, so you can’t stack the discounts but it’s a better discount anyways! This is the kick flare and it is one of my favorite silhouettes. In fact, I wore this silhouette a lot in 2023 and I was looking for my old pair, but they no longer fit. I ended up buying these and felt like I was back with an old friend. They’re high rise and very stretchy. It’s a lighter denim and while I don’t love a raw hem, this one doesn’t bother me. It kind of adds to her quirk. This pair runs true to size, but with a more fitted waist. If you are looking for a flattering pair of denim, especially for us rounder waist girlies, this is a great option!

The One with the 90s Straight Fit

This one is actually the fit that I own the most in — this is the 90s Straight fit. If you want an everyday denim, this is your girl. She’s easy to wear, goes with everything but I do think leans the most casual of all of these. The length is a touch shorter than the others, hits me right at my ankle but in no way cropped. If you have curve, this jean will curve with you! I have some hips, so now the jeans do too. I am in the medium, regular length. I have this pair in a mid-blue, black, and white.
