It has been so hot here I’ve been a bit of a recluse. Whatever you guys do up north when you are snowed in, that’s what we do when we are melted in. Except last month was our daughter’s birthday month and we had no less than 4 birthday celebrations and two were outside. So ya know, I had to come out of my house a few times. This heat makes it hard for my brain to process that we are 19 days away from autumn, calendar wise at least. If it were up to the heat, I’d be in a swimsuit all day everyday. But I’d like to start transitioning into some more ‘fall’ like pieces, even if the heat says otherwise. I looked around on Amazon and found some pieces that will help with this style transition and just some generally nice pieces to wear to WFH, drop off / pick up and weekend activities. All of my specialities. 😉
Oh girl, I was looking for a Spanx dupe and boy did i find one! This is an AirEssentials dupe and it’s pretty darn close. I don’t know how it will wash out, but it’s the same weight and bounce as Spanx. I’m in the large, perfect fit for me. Pockets, nice length and the waistband gives a nice shape. 10/10!
Let me talk you thru these two pieces! The top is just your general muscle tee but I find it more cap sleeve and I love it. I’ve been needing to expand my basics recently and this black tee fits perfectly (large for me).
okay love these pants! Yes they’re a sweatpants material but the color looks like denim so for me it’s a fancy sweatpants! Meaning I will wear these outside the house 😉 if you want a longer length, size up. These are the XL and they are big-ish on me but i love the length. Otherwise TTS.

Ok so I stumbled on to these looking for something completely different, but I’m so glad I did! These are cotton with 3% elastane for som stretch. I really like this fabric, it’s a stronger poplin feel, mid-weight. They do run a touch loose, so if you are in between sizes, you could size down! I like these for when I don’t want denim or activewear. The brown is more true here than the listing, FYI.
I liked this set so much I bought it twice! I have it in dark brown as well. I can’t tell which size I like best, I did the large in the brown and XL in this one because I wanted it to fit more like the model. I think if you are tall, size up for the longer length. Overall it is TTS.
Another 100% cotton piece I found! I ordered a similar from Quince but actually like this one best, strangely enough. I am in the large, it runs slightly big overall. I would say if you’re in between sizes you can go down a size. The sleeves aren’t too puffy, which is nice, because sometimes too puffy can make me look wider than I want to look. Ya know?
I added in some scarves to this order bc I’m damned and determined to learn to wear scarves this fall! This one is a cheap thrill but I do love the black / white pattern. (I also got this one and love it, too.)
So this one IS more like a sweater weight. *cries in Texas heat* This is that super soft, bouncy sweater fabric that we know and love. It’ll probably be a bit before I wear this one but when that cold weather hits, I’ll be ready. There are lots of color options, this is the grey, it’s a light blue-ish grey hue not a flat shark grey. I love a short sleeve sweater because fall is optional down here. It does run quite loose / big, I’m in the large could have used the medium so keep that in mind!

Another Spanx dupe! This top is a great air essentials dupe, it’s the exact same fabric. I will say it runs quite big! I am in the large and was surprised how loose it fit. So go down a size if you want a closer fit!

Been wanting some more tops to wear with my barrel pants and stumbled upon this one. It’s a lightweight, bouncy knit — so not a sweater, but not not a sweater ya know? Ok hopefully you know what i mean. I am in the large, love the loose fit but I do think it runs big! Highly recommend if you like a loose top with longer sleeves.

These are my favorite barrel pants even if I do wish they had a long length option! I am in the large, most snug at the waist for me. They have a nice stretchy fabric, elastic waist band. Perfect for drop off, weekends, etc. The fabric is so soft and stretchy, they give the Ruti ones a run for their money. The updated cut is a little longer than this FYI!
This tee is the best! I just washed it (hang to dry) and it washed out beautifully and it’s still just as soft. I am in the medium, it runs very big!
