Hello friends! It is still very warm here but I’ve made the command decision to move forward with more autumn like styles. Heat bubble be damned, or whatever it is that is hanging over our neck of the woods. I’m moving right along this month with things that we can wear right now but speak to a seasonal change. And one of those things is this rugby polo. I’ve been loving this style since last fall but alas, I couldn’t find one that actually fit me. I find them to either be too stiff or structured and that just doesn’t work for my body type. I’ve got broader shoulders and big boobs so creating MORE shape up top is not my goal. That’s a real hat on a hat situation. So while this top is wide and boxy, it doesn’t have a forced shape to it. The relaxed cotton gives it a more easy going vibe and that’s exactly what I want in a polo.
I did size up, even though it runs pretty loose. The medium fit pretty similar but I wanted a longer length, as things tend to shrink up and that drives me bananas. So if you don’t need extra length, stay true to size and expect a relaxed fit from this striped rugby shirt.
I also picked up this pair of jeans while I was at J.Crew Factory and I haven’t looked back. I wore these jeans all week last week. They too fit a little bit big overall, I’m in the 30 and they relaxed with wear, as well. If you want a tighter fit, go down one size overall.
But my overall pick for this fall? A rugby polo tee. Consider this on the fall shopping list.
