Do you also feel that August is the slowest month? I know it comes at us fast with back to school but as far as style goes, this month always feels like it drags on. My love for summer is waning and I’m longing for anything else to wear. I remedied this with a few pieces from Amazon that will hold me over until a full seasonal change. Which for us in Texas is probably October. I prefer pieces that are easy to toss on and wear for the busy month ahead and boy did I find those pieces! See my favorites below.

This tee is the best and I can’t recommend enough. I am in the large but it is wayyyy too big, so keep in mind it runs large! (I usually get larges in tees so this surprised me!) I am gonna swap for a medium bc it’s already oversized and perfectly loose. Non-sheer, as well! If you love a loose, drapey tee this is your gal. Size down!

This is the best short I’ve found – it’s a linen blend and is so soft and flowy. They run quite big as well, I am in the large but will be swapping for the mediums! They have an adjustable drawstring waist and are plenty long. Size down, as well.

Shorts | Tee | Sandals

This is the softest little set and it’s a ribbed knit fabric. Very slinky and soft,. The top runs oversized but true and the shorts run just a tad small at the waist for me. Definitely a touch shorter than I was expecting, but overall TTS. I’m in the large.

Shorts Set | Sandals

Speaking of sets, this set is a fine dupe for a Spanx set, if I’ve ever seen one! It’s a very similar fabric to the air essentials line. I am in the large of the set and it fits true to size. I can’t deicde on this color or not, I’m trying to get away from just choose black or white but I think I’d prefer a black in this set. What do you think??

Shorts Set | Jelly Flats

I am such a sucker for a yellow top these days and this one feels very free people. It is slightly sheer (i’m wearing a dark bra, oops!) but with a nude bra it would be just fine. I am in the large and the length is perfect. It’s a loose, boxy fit.

PS: If you don’t love this lemon yellow, there are lots of other hues as well!

Top | Jeans | Sandals

I love a little simple sweater top to get me through the summer to fall transition. This one feels so chic and it’s a really nice fit. I am in the large and it’s a geneorus, loose fit overall. However, I like to have a little room just in case it shrinks up a bit after washing, plus I love no boob gap. Highly recommend this versatile piece!

Sweater Top | Jeans | Sandals

This is one of my favorite finds from Amazon this year! I am in the large here and they’re more cropped than my Ruti ones (I have the tall in those.) They run slightly fitted at the waist, so keep that in mind with fit.

Pants | Tee

I feel like the photo doesn’t do this set justice – it’s darling in person. It does run a touch big overall, I’m in the large and the shorts are quite long / loose. I like the length / fit of the top though! It comes in a few other hues as well. I like this set for a quick toss on outfit when I don’t know what else to wear. Sets liket his make it easy for me to get out the door.

Shorts Set | Sandals

Okay admittedly I wouldn’t pair these two together, even though I did intend for them to go together. But it was better in my head I fear. Overall I love this 100%  cotton midi skirt – it’s a nice fit and with pockets! The waistband isn’t too wide or too thick and I noticed it didn’t flare out at my hips as well. All good notes! I am in the large, it fits slightly generously but I prefer this size for comfort.

  1. Everyone experiences an occasional mid-year slump, and a few thoughtful purchases can make the month feel more productive and enjoyable. Whether it’s a planner to stay organized, wellness essentials, cozy home accessories, or practical everyday items, the right additions can boost motivation and refresh your routine. Sometimes, small investments in comfort and self-care are all it takes to recharge and head into the rest of the year with renewed energy and focus.
