These pants are finally in the washer for the first time. They haven’t been off-duty all month because I keep reaching for them. I have worn and worn them since I got them a few weeks ago. And if you can get me in pants in August in Texas?! You KNOW they’re good. In fact, I wore these pants to an outside school event on Monday and I got so many compliments on them. They’re so cool and comfortable, so I get it. I would have complimented me too. But look, I’ll be honest. I went into this with side eyes; I didn’t want to like them. I was prepared to say that they were not worth the hype. I wanted to be the one person who was like no, don’t buy them they aren’t worth it. But…damn. I am so sorry to report that they are in fact worth the hype, unfortunately. You may not love the barrel fit but I do — I think it’s such an interesting silhouette and super flattering. The good news is that I do think the Amazon dupe I found this spring is very close. The Amazon pair fits a bit more snug at the waist and they’re shorter. So for me, that’s a shame but if you’re petite then that’s great! Honestly the length is the real kicker for me, if the Amazon ones were longer then this would be a much harder contest. The fabric is pretty similar and the fit / silhouette is pretty darn close. I’ll link the amazon ones here! (I have them in the navy size large.)

PS: my top is a great price! It’s under $35. I’m trying to sneak in some autumn like textures into my outfits even though it’s 1 million degrees out. But this one is lightweight, thank god. Find this top here!
