As luck would have it, I did a recent try on for both of them so I thought I’d leave some of my favorites that are on sale here! Many items have an ‘extra’ percentage off, too! These pieces are staples for my summer wardrobe and I think you’d like them too. I love when they put summer pieces on sale before summer is even here.

Madewell
I love this white cotton tank – it has the sweetest little details, ruffles at the sleeves, eyelet design. I’m in the large and it fits me true to size. If you have bigger boobs , go up a size for sure. (I also got feedback on IG and confirmed this top runs snug!) This top is lightweight cotton but not sheer which is perfect for summer.
I was excited about these jeans! I’m so so so glad they fit because sometimes drawstring pants can be touch or go for me. I went with the large, regular length and I love the fit / length. They are a touch generous at the waist, but overall I like this fit for me. I wanted a relaxed, loose fit and a size up was perfect. The fabric is more of a structured chambray than jeans type of denim.

I love this dress from Madewell – I find this cut to be so flattering. I’m in the large here and it’s a generous cut, but I appreciate the length. Comes in a few colors as well but I believe the red is on the most sale!
You’ve seen this top before 🙂 This is one of my favorite tops from Madewell this spring. It does run big – I’m in the medium and it’s a looser fit overall. Loose and boxy, so go down a size if in between sizes. I initially got the white in a large but it was too big so I swapped for blue + medium Super lightweight, 100% linen. It’s on extra sale, too!
PS: my purse is on sale too! She’s a small gal, but gets the job done. Phone, keys, sunscreen, wallet, makeup and snacks all fit!

J.Crew
Moving into the J.Crew portion of the try on, Both of these pieces will be staples this summer. I love this pair of shorts – they’re some of my favorites year after year. I’m in the large, admittedly a bit big for me because they run generously. Could have done a medium but missed my exchange window so I’m rolling with the larger size.
I do suggest to size down in these shorts! They run big but are so very comfortable.
This top is gorgeous – it’s a loose knit sweater but it’s very lightweight, appropriate for heat because it’s very breathable. I’m in the medium and it fits fine! If you wanted it loose / longer, sure go up a size but overall it’s a relaxed fit. I love the green hue as well, it’s in my cart as we speak.

I just got this dress in and I love it. It’s a light blue stripe (hard to see here!) and it’s a fully lined, more stiff fabric (cotton blend? I believe). It has a zipper on the side, and it keeps its more structured shape. Typically dresses like this are a tough fit for me with bigger boobs, but this fit great! With some wiggle room as well. I’m in the large.

This dress is on MAJOR sale now! I’m in the medium here, perfect fit! A touch short but overall it’s ok, easy to wear. I do plan on using it as a swim cover up as well to the pool this summer, but it works well as a nice casual dress. Slightly sheer in the sunlight, but overall ok with nude underwear or a slip, of course.

My favorite spring pants are on sale! This is the cosmo pant! I’m in the large and it’s a generous fit. I’m kind of in between medium and larges right now and these are loose enough to wear a touch lower on my hips and give me more length. With that info, I’d say they run true to size in a relaxed fit.
