Hi friends! I can not believe it’s already mid-May. I know I always say this, but I really mean it. These past two weeks have flown by. (Is this universal? Or is this time speeding up because I’m in my 40s now…) We have had school events on top of school events, soccer games and parties, birthday parties, graduation parties, you name it — we’ve got it going on. The best news is — I’ve got lots of places to wear my outfits to! So here is a WIWLW-ish with lots of fun little outfits. Let’s get to them!

FRIDAY | School Event

I wore this outfit to volunteer at an outdoor school event at my daughter’s school, not thinking about the muddy yard I’d be standing in. Mesh flats + mud don’t mix. However I am happy to report that with a little Dawn Powerwash and some water, they washed out great. So that’s good to know about mesh flats!

I just got these jeans from Spanx and I LOVE love them. I’m having to wash them this weekend and I already miss them. I got the large and I do think I could have gone with a medium, they’re a generous and loose fit over all. They’re lightweight and the softest denim. I am obsessed.

Saturday | Soccer game + team party

Last Saturday was our last game of the soccer season (the girls came in third this season!). Then we headed to the end of season party and hung out on a patio all day. And let me tell you how wrong I was to wear a long sleeve top. I was so sweaty and hot by the time we got home late afternoon. I’ve never wanted a shower more. (But I do like matching our team and this was the only top I had!) At least it is sweat-wicking I suppose. Also this is that Amazon Skort I shared a few weeks ago! Such a cute little soccer mom outfit, if I do say so myself. (I’m in the large)

We were out ALL day and guess what? I didn’t get burned at all and it’s all thanks to this sunscreen. It’s new to me and I couldn’t believe how well it worked. On one hand, I’m sad I didn’t get some color on my cheeks but on the other hand, I know sun protection is the best anti-aging secret there is. Le sigh,  it’s gonna be a real toss up this summer: a nice tan or more moles and wrinkles. Either way, this is a great facial sunscreen — it’s not heavy AT ALL. Which is my number one and it worked from 10 am to 4 pm all day in the sun. Not one cheek was pinked.

Sunday | Mother’s Day Lunch

I got these pants from my Nuuly box and I LOVE them! They’re a touch snug at the waist (that’s typical for me) but overall true to size. I’m in the 10. They’re long enough as well! Absolutely recommend this pair. I grabbed this simple knit tank from last summer and I thought it ended up being a really cute little look. I’m wanting to try a big bauble necklace again, like this one here. Wouldn’t that have been a cute addition? I’m just fighting some 2012 demons in my memory; the aqua necklace of yesteryear haunt me sometimes.

Monday | WFH

I went full Eileen Fisher in this get-up. I paired my Madewell linen top with these linen blend pants from gap. My one and only complaint about linen is that I can never get it looking the way it first looks when you buy it. I know that’s the beauty of it all, but I do love a crisp linen. This outfit was top tier comfortable. Absolutely recommend wearing loose linen whenever possible.

PS: my top is 25% off!

Tuesday | Lunch with friend

I probably would have paired this with a nice pair of shoes but I grabbed these running out the door. (You can see it paired with a ballet flat here.) Either way it’s been HOT here and HUMID. I am over it. I tried to do straight hair this week but my hair just falls flat, so I went back with some waves. I’m trying to grow my hair out but man is it boring. If I end up with another bob chop this summer, I got bored and broke down.

My dress is on sale! I’m in the 10.

Wednesday | WFH

LOVE this little jumpsuit and I want to wear it all the time. I just got it this week and my god it’s comfortable. I don’t typically like jumpsuits but this spring I’ve acquired three from Spanx! I can’t get over how soft the air essentials are. I’m in the large…it’s a bit big. I’m truly in between medium and large at Spanx, so I’m kind of confused with my sizing there. I think a medium would have fit more true but I honestly don’t mind the relaxed fit on this and it got me a touch more length over all. I’d say TTS, if in between go up one size.

By the way, these are those mesh flats from last summer that I’m bringing back. I tried the black ones and hated them so I sent them back. I like this beige neutral a lot more than the dark black, just FYI.

Thursday | Choir Concert

Our daughter had a choir concert and it was the most precious thing in the world. I ended up wearing this dress because I’ve been dying to wear it and a choir concert gave me a great excuse! I tossed this Quince cardigan over, just in case it was cold inside and I loved the look. ALSO this cardigan actually stays on my shoulders like this. I think it’s because it’s cotton and so it’s a bit ‘heavier’ and the sleeves are long enough, too.

I’m in the large of the dress, it’s a bit generous. I’d say with Hill House if in between sizes you can go down a size.

That’s it! See you next week!
