It’s been a warmer spring here, but we are not out of layering season quite yet. And I love when a jacket does all the heavy lifting of an outfit, even if you just threw it on over a tee and jeans. This year, I keep coming back to four styles that feel especially perfect for spring and I wanted to share them with you! Each option brings a little something different to your wardrobe. But I promise all of them are easy, wearable, and versatile enough to mix into what you already own.
Even better, every jacket shown is under $100 (because looking pulled together shouldn’t require a full wardrobe overhaul). If you’re in the mood for a jacket redux, these four jackets are a really good place to start!

This jacket is one of my favorite Amazon finds. I don’t shop on Amazon much these days, but when I do I try to be as intentional as possible. Being cautious in my shopping, means I really consider what I’m looking for and I return anything that doesn’t add to my worth and repetition to my wardrobe. This jacket is one that checked all of the boxes for me — comfortable, trendy but won’t be out of season next year, and most of all re-wearable. I got this jacket in November and I’ve worn it ever since and I’m about to make a case for it for spring. It’s definitely a three-season jacket for me.
With its oversized silhouette and rich caramel suede-like fabric, this Amazon find literally makes everything look better. A simple sweater vest? Boom! Elevated. Basic white tee and jeans? Suddenly editorial. It’s the rare piece that delivers more than its price tag suggests, as it comes in just under $50.

I’m in the large, fit is generous. You can find it here.

The trench coat is one of fashion’s most enduring icons. But the cropped, oversized update is making waves right now. I like the cropped version for spring, it’s like taking a wardrobe classic but now it feels genuinely new. Plus the shorter length is inherently more casual, so all of the polish and none of the fuss with the belt, the length, etc. If you don’t need the extra coverage weather-wise, then the crop is the way to go.

This one shown is from Gap, but it’s since sold out. I’ve linked the Zara option here!

The denim chore jacket has been quietly cool for decades, but I feel like it’s been overlooked until the last few years. This one is from Quince and I love the oversized, dark-wash option. (The light blue has a more casual feel but is a good one too!) I just like that the dark denim creates instant contrast and grounds any look. I love a denim jacket but haven’t been drawn to the typical trucker style or tailored denim jacket the last few years. This denim chore one solves the gap that my typical denim jacket left. I don’t think you can go wrong with any color, just find the one that works best in YOUR wardrobe! For me, this spring at least, it’s this dark rinse. Under $100 and such a good find.

Find it here. (I’m in the large but the medium fits me well too. It’s a generous fit.)

I love me an oversized blazer. I think they came onto my radar around 2020 and I’ve loved them in many different iterations. I thought for a second they’d go out of style, but they’ve really never left. I’m glad too because no matter if my weight fluctuates, I can always count on an oversized blazer. And I’m talking about the slouchy, relaxed fit that feels as easy as a cardigan and looks twice as put-together. It’s pretty much a non-negotiable for me, I wear them just almost year round.
The key is the fit: deliberately oversized, with dropped shoulders, a roomy body, and a hem that grazes the hip. It shouldn’t look *too* tailored — it should look borrowed, effortless, like you grabbed the best thing in the room on your way out the door. In a soft cream, deep navy, or warm camel, it instantly becomes the anchor of any outfit! I like to pair with a simple tee, over a dress, with matching shorts. Sky is the limit, honestly. If I am ever unsure of what to wear, I know it’s an oversized blazer kind of day.

I really like this one I picked up from Amazon. It is very similar to the Favorite Daughter one I borrowed last month from Rent the Runway. I got the large, but could have gone with a medium. Find it here.
I also love this lioness blazer from Shopbop, too! I go with a medium in that one. (It’s 20% off this week)
