J.Crew is having 40% off of some spring items so I popped into the store over the weekend and picked up some items to try! I’m always more interested in pieces that work with what I already own or something new that I haven’t seen before. There is no in between. I ended up finding three things that are a must for me for spring, but the other items definitely get honorary mention!
This edit has five versatile pieces from J.Crew that feel fresh for spring and work in real life, too. The fact that they’re on sale right now just makes them that much easier to say yes to—but I’d be recommending these either way! My favorite three are the first ones up. Listed in very particular order.

Smocked eyelet-hem dress in cotton poplin
I absolutely adore this dress! It’s currently on sale for 40% off! I’m wearing a medium, which fits true to size. However, since I’m about to start my period, I’m feeling a bit bloated and my bust is larger than usual, making it fit a little snugger at the chest than I prefer. This is just a temporary situation, so the medium it is for me.
It’s a TTS fit with smocking in the middle. So nice for those of us who have rounder waists, it gives a nice, hourglass silhouette!

Slim-Wide Leg Jeans
I FINALLY found a pair of white jeans I like this spring!! They check all of the boxes – loose but tailored, not cropped, actually white not off white, and non-sheer. This is THE pair, I’m telling you! I’m in the 30 but they run generously. If you are in between sizes, you could size down easily. Lots of stretch and SO comfortable. 10/10 recommend this pair.

Tropez Linen Shorts
I want to talk about these shorts first because I love the Tropez shorts from J.Crew so much. I’ve been a long time fan of this silhouette, but I forget that they run big though. I sized up because I hate a tight linen but forgot that they’re a generous fit anyways. So this is the large and they’re a touch too big. Definitely a medium for me, so TTS for their size chart!
On sale for under $50 right now. These in linen + black are my go to all summer long because they’re lightweight, elastic waist but still look very tailored. Find them here.
Ps: My sweater vest isn’t on sale, but here are the deets: It’s the softest cashmere and I love the fit on this one. This is the medium, it’s a loose generous fit. Comes in a few colors as well but I’m partial to cream and navy for spring!

Cosmos Pants in Linen Blend
Last but not least of my top 4– these are the Cosmos pants and it’s the first time trying them. I LOVE them. The fit is amazing, especially if you have a rounder waist. I was afraid because the elastic waistband is thin, but it fits perfectly and is comfortable, doesn’t roll down. I’m in the large, I’m in between the medium and large (surprise surprise) but I liked the length of the large. This is the linen blend and it feels like a synthetic linen, it’s a more structured fabric so it keeps its shape. I like it but if you are die hard for linen, these might not be for you.

Tiered Popover Poplin Dress
If you know me, you know that I love a little white dress, especially from J.Crew. This one is precious – very comfortable and loose fitting. The fabric is non-sheer in the white but there are other colors / stripes available too. I’m in the medium. It fits overall but I did notice a bit of tightness in the bust area. I think I *may* size up to a large for a longer / looser fit overall. I’m not sure I’ll be keeping this one though. It feels slightly beach coverup adjacent, so it may be the return of this lot.
