I bought this sweater last fall and almost instantly this sweater went out of stock. As in I bought it on a Tuesday, it was no where to be found by Friday. Not the sweater, not even the URL. So then I looked every single day to see when it would be restocked and when I tell you that it was my mission to track down this sweater, it almost became an obsession. So then the sweater came back in stock again in December, but this color was GONE. Which is a damn shame because I love this color so so much. (For your own records it’s called ‘herb green’ on Quince’s site.) I thought for a bit that I’d just return it, but I reconsidered after seeing it sit sadly on my desk, next to the slightly threatening return label. I mean, it didn’t do anything wrong. It’s just an innocent bystander who happened to be a part of a mysteriously small batch of sweaters. But there is something probably wrong with me that doesn’t like wearing things that you can’t access. But my friends, this green is too good to not be worn. This sweater is too good to be sent back. So I regret to say that this sweater IS available but NOT in this beautifully weird green hue. You can find the exact sweater, which I highly recommend, here.
However it is available in this beautiful and similar priced cotton cardigan, which would work perfectly with these pants as well. If you’re an exact match kind of gal. You can find that sweater here. (Remember the color is ‘Herb Green’)
I feel like this outfit was just dying to come together. I’ve been loving this color of green for a while now but mixing it with brown feels weirdly illegal? I had to check with myself and my team before I left my house. (my team = my husband and my 8 year old who has a weirdly accurate hold on trends for someone who has very limited access to the internet.) But I’m so glad I walked out of the house in this outfit. It just feels cool girl coded. Cool girl Pinterest muse mode activated.
This post is already too long because of my yapping but two notes on the sizing of things. This sweater runs loose and generously. I have it in the medium (in white) and in the large (as shown here.) The large is very oversized on me, as it is a relaxed fit. Now I have washed the white one and it did shrink up a wee bit, as it is cotton. I do not dry any of my clothing so if you plan on drying this cotton sweater, size up. There is a variable of shrinkage here. Find it here.
On the pants front, they run small! If you have a rounder waist, then definitely go up on size. This is the 10 and still kind tight *gasps for air* if we are being honest and vulnerable. I also find them to run a bit short, too. If you are taller than 5’9″ and want to wear heels, you’d be better off in the tall option. I wish I would have ordered 10 Tall in these, but I can just wear them with flats, no biggie. Find them here.
One note: This purse is the Quince tote as I’ve linked here. I imagined this look with a slouchy oversized clutch and I don’t have one, so I improvised instead. I tucked the straps in on this large tote then folded it over, as the leather is soft and flexible. So this is the tote I linked, just styled it in a different way. Find it here.
