Ah, February: the month that I never know what to wear. Only to be followed by March, the month where I know what I want to wear but our weather won’t let me. During February, I tend to reach for outfit formulas that I know work and I try not to overthink the simplicity. In this case, I went with a cream on cream outfit; it’s simple, it’s fresh and it hits every single time.
I really like this chunky lil’ sweater from Free People. I rented it this month from Nuuly and I’m thinking it might be a keep. I’ve been doing a little too good at renting from Nuuly this year, as I’ve already kept two things and I’m considering a third. It’s only the second month. Either way, I like this sweater because it’s nice and boxy and loose. It’s a thicker sweater so it works for right now, it’s a perfect spring sweater. It’s right under $100, too. I’m in the large and it’s a bit big / boxy, so stick to your true to size fit. I do think it may shrink a bit as it’s cotton and this type of knit tends to shrink a bit.
I’ve sold all of my white jeans over the past couple of years and now I realized I’ve left a hole in my closet. But I see this more as an opportunity to find the perfect white jean and I am on it. I will of course take you along on this journey. I am trying this pair from Nuuly this month and I do love a wide leg white jean. But I think I’m going to buy a few and do a try on to see which pair I like best. Sound good? I figured you’d be down for a nice jeans post. White jeans are such a staple year round but I’m realizing that I reach for them so much at the beginning of the year.
