Hi friends! So behind the scenes over here for the last two months, I’ve been testing some Amazon sweaters IRL. Out of maybe 10-12 that I’ve ordered, 6 made the cut. I know Amazon can be hit or miss—especially when it comes to sweaters—so I don’t recommend these sweaters lightly. I did an initial try on for first thoughts and a few immediately got weeded out. If I liked the sweater, I kept them through my return period but if I didn’t reach for it again, it didn’t make the list! I’ve given them al the wash and wear test to see if they hold up and so far so good!
And if Amazon isn’t your thing, that’s totally okay. This list is here to help if you’re already shopping Amazon, my recommendations are below!
6 Best Amazon Sweaters I’d Recommend

Oversized Mock Neck Sweater
Your eyes aren’t fooling you, those two are the same sweater but in different colors. That’s right, I liked it so much I ordered it twice. If I had to recommend one sweater, it would be this one! During the holidays and well into January, I naturally want to dress comfortably and cozy. I tend to lean towards denim and leggings and so when I realized this one works well with both, it was a keeper. I have worn and worn this sweater in just the short amount of time I’ve had it. It also washed out beautifully. With all of my sweaters — no matter the fabric — I wash on delicate cold, lay flat to dry. Everyone gets the cashmere spa treatment around here.
I am in the medium and it runs generously! It is pretty long, but just barely covers my butt in leggings. I’m 5’9″ so keep that in mind with your height when ordering. I like these two colors but there are so many more.
Who’s this for: If you like cozy sweaters that work well with leggings or denim, this is your sweater!

Crewneck Tunic Sweater
This sweater I initially was not impressed with. I was expecting it to be a chunkier knit and the knit on this is a smoother, finer knit. But I ended up pairing it with my silk pants out of desperation of trying to find a sweater to pair with those pants and ended up loving the look. I’ve worn the sweater a handful of more times, as it’s a nice weight, I like the crewneck and longer length oh and bonus: it washed out beautifully. (I washed on delicate, laid flat to dry as I do all my sweaters.) Most of the sweaters on this list are longer length, which I find to be the most versatile. This one is lightweight enough I can pull it up and tuck it like above, or wear it long with leggings, like below.
Who’s this for: If you like a very versatile sweater that can work with denim or leggings or even silk skirts, this is the one for you! Mid-length, so it can work in all sorts way.

A few other ways I’ve styled this sweater!

Oversized Tunic Sweater
This is a sweater I’ve had before and absolutely loved. I was looking for it the other day and sadly realized I sold it in my pre-loved shop. I remember that it was a touch too big, so I re-ordered it in the medium and love this color and fit. What I love the most about this sweater is the feel of the fabric — it feels like a barefoot dreams blanket. It’s so soft and cozy, a real delight to wear. It runs generously, so keep that in mind. This is the medium and it’s a looser fit overall. (I wore it in my January 2023 capsule in the navy!)
Who’s it for: If you like a fluffy, chunkier knit sweater, this one is for you. If you like casual sweaters that work best with denim or leggings, give this one a shot.

Sezane-Dupe Cardigan
I’ve found a few Sezane dupes this fall (find my Old Navy one here!) and this is one to add to the list. This one is more fitted than the Old Navy one, for comparison. I find it runs a bit small / snug especially at the arms. I am in the large, so size up if you want a looser fit but this one is a closer fit in general. This brown is a more reddish / vibrant hue than shown in the listing. It’s a chunky knit, regular length and non-itchy, as well!
Who’s this for: If you are a trend follower and like the romantic, French vibes of Sezane, this one is for you. Works well with denim and trousers.

Ribbed Turtleneck Sweater
This sweater has a finer rib knit, it’s a smooth feel with almost a touch of a sheen. It’s thick, but not a chunky knit. It’s a really gorgeous knit and sweater. Now this one is also a generous fit, but not quite tunic length. I bought this one in the large and prefer this size. If you want a closer fit, you could size down but I like a looser fit overall with sweaters like this. It’s a mid-weight and with a good steaming, it looks chic as can be. Comes in lots of colors, as they do but I needed a grey sweater so I picked this one.
Who’s this for: If you like quiet luxury aesthetic, this is your sweater. It gives essential luxury and works well with denim and trousers. Perfect for the office, too.

Striped Chunky Knit Sweater
This one is such a fun one, I felt like I needed a wild card in this mix and this is the one. It has a kind of vintage vibe to it as well. The sweater is a chunky knit, but not as chunky as shown in the photo. It runs snug, this is the large and it fit more like a medium. It’s super soft and stretchy as well, but the length is best for high rise jeans or pants if you have a long torso.
Who’s this for: if you like a trendy, fun piece this is the one! If you reach for color — or you want to start reaching for color, this sweater has a ton of variety. Perfect for denim.
PS: my Gap jeans are on major sale — $35! I wear the 30 and they fit like a dream. Stretchy and flattering! If you are looking for a wide leg, trouser like jean, these come highly recommended!
