Wouldn’t you know that I picked up this pair of jeans early spring and they have been a surprise favorite in my closet since. I tend to tuck them away for weeks at a time and then I rediscover and love them every time I wear them. Now they do require a heel for me and the dark rinse lends to an elevated look, but when I’m feeling *denim fancy* I reach for the Baby Boot. I’ve coined this because it’s the smallest little kick flare of a bootcut jean. Just barely there, a Baby Boot if you will. And I hope you do.
You can find this exact pair at J.Crew. This are the 29 and they fit perfectly, with a hint of stretch too.
I had this whole outfit in mind when I saw this shirt online. From the suede bag to the suede booties, I just knew this outfit was going to come together. I just almost picked some black jeans instead but I like the slight contrast between the dark denim and black shirt. This top has a matching skirt, too. If you like a two piece, matching set look. I found this top at Nordstrom and it runs kinda loose / generously. Also it is sheer-ish — it’s dark so you can get away with a darker bra but a camisole is welcome to the party as well. In the shirt is this very subtle metallic thread throughout as well, which to me is giving *holiday*. If you want to do subtle holiday that is. You can find this top (under $100) here.
