At first glance, you may have thought this was a tiered dress not a two piece shorts set. Or perhaps, for my pessimists, you thought it was a pajama set. For this post’s sake, I will ignore that one. I really love this set — it was the perfect outfit for our beach vavay last week, especially when I didn’t really want to get ready to go to dinner after we had been on the beach all day. I can usually coax myself into a shower / makeup routine if my outfit looks comfortable and boy was this comfortable. I added psuedo-heels for the hell of it and voila! An instant outfit that was so cute but so easy to wear.

I love the trend of matching sets lately, which we’ve mainly seen in button down tops + matching shorts. This oversized tank with pockets (!!) can be paired with denim (jeans or shorts) or shorts or of course, the matching shorts. If you aren’t into the matching set, then I’d say give either one a chance — if you are loving the boxer shorts trend right now (best paired with a tee or a simple tank) then these shorts are for you. They are a high rise, but tailored short. Sorry you can’t see that more here in these photos, but you can see it here!

And of course, if you love a big oversized tank for summer (raises all of her hands) then the tank is for you.

As far as sizing goes, I think the mediums would have fit me better. But at this point, it’s obviously a little late for that. This set runs large, especially the shorts so keep that in mind. I am in the large of the bottoms but would have preferred the mediums. The top is a medium and it is very loose / generous fit. Also both the shorts AND the top have pockets. Love that for us.

Find the top here / find the shorts here.

I am in the medium of the tunic tank, it runs very generous. I like it for a size 8/10, but consider sizing down. I am in the large of the shorts, but they run generous. I would feel more comfortable in a size down.
