Does your brain also try to switch on ‘Fall Mode’ the second August hits? Mine sure does and it annoys because guess what brain?? It’s summer till September, so get on board and bring on the summer styles because we are not done yet. But I like to ease into fall a little and I think this maxi skirt does a fine job of marrying late summer with early fall. The colors are reminiscent of early fall but a maxi skirt screams summer.
This exact skirt I picked up from Amazon earlier in July and I really like this brand. It feels like something I could find at Zara or Anthropologie but it’s under $40! I am in the medium and it fits true to size, lightweight but not sheer. Find it here!Â
Want to know my secret to maxi skirts or skirts in general? A cropped tee or tank. I’ve talked about this before but this is an absolute must for high waisted skirts. With a cropped top the proportions are exactly right without having to front tuck or tuck your shirt in and create bulk, especially with lightweight skirts like this one. I am covered and there’s no bulk. The best of both worlds right there. Oh and I feel like a cool kid. 😉 You can find my cropped tee on Amazon as well! I am in the large. I would suggest a size up.
PS: my sandals are amazon too! They rub a bit at the top of my foot but overall the leather is soft and wearable. Not all day wear but it’s a nice fit and sandal. Find it here, true to size.
