I don’t even want to admit it because it feels way too early and I think I might jinx it but you guys — it’s officially SWEATER WEATHER here.* My love for this weather and my excitement for sweaters is hard to contain. I have been holding on to this sweater from Everyday & Co since we got it in and finally the day has come! It’s the perfect shade of olive, which as you can tell has been a favorite hue this fall. (Half our shop is olive! So it must be a favorite of mine – ha!) This sweater is the perfect layering weight if you want to wear it with a button down underneath as well. Plus it’s not itchy! (A lot of people ask this about sweaters so I thought I’d beat you to the punch!)

Have I talked you into Mott & Bow denim yet? If not, I need to. They are seriously some of my favorite. The company reached out to me and offered a pair this past spring and I loved them so much I went back and bought a second. This is the high waist Carmine in medium blue. They fit true to size. They are a tiny bit snug when you first put them on but wear them around for a half day and BOOM they fit your body perfectly. And I find them super flattering and so comfortable. If you haven’t tried, then they have free try-on too! I swear this isn’t sponsored, I just super love their denim. It’s really stretchy so if you are up and down a lot (like being a mom, a teacher, or if you work somewhere where you are on your feet, etc.!) then they are perfect for all-day movement. I’ve tried their Mom Jeans but didn’t love the fit on me, so I think I just prefer their skinny jeans.

I’m wearing my Madewell mules again. These are seriously the best fall shoe and as you could tell from my Loft try-on post, they are some kind of magic because they literally look good with everything. I checked on this pair in the store and they are almost the exact same shade as mine. (I think mine have faded since last season when I bought them.)

You can find these booties here.

(*If the weather pulls a fast one on me and I’m in a tee next week, then I reserve the right to fully retract this statement.)

I’m in the 29 in the denim! Stay true to size. The shoes are true to size, but if you are in between sizes consider a half size down. The sweater is true to size! I am in the medium.

  1. Love this sweater! Any suggestions on how you store sweaters once they are out of season? Also, any washing/drying recommendations?

  2. Great post! I love all your pieces. I’m so jealous you can wear a sweater. It was 90°F today where I live in Orange County, CA. I have piles and piles of sweaters because I love them but can hardly wear them. Maybe around December. 🙁
