I said this in yesterday’s post but it’s nice to be back in dresses. After I had Gemma, the easiest way I found to dress my post-partum body was with yoga pants or my high waisted leggings and a loose top or tunic, especially in the first few weeks. Anything that didn’t give a little bit of support around my tummy did not even cross my mind. I’ve definitely found a new love for casual pieces but I’ve been missing putting on a dress every now and then. So when I found this shift dress, I knew I found the middle ground between super dressed up and super casual. And the best part? It’s totally mom-friendly. The fabric is easy to remove any stains that may — okay– will happen throughout the day and it’s virtually wrinkle-free. Plus I can easily toss it over my leggings as well and I’ve got a tunic look. This dress is the exact amount of dressed up and casual I like to be. (It’s under $50 which is amazing! Find the dress here.)

I need to do a cardigan round-up post of my favorites soon because there are SO many good ones this fall. Would that be something you’re into? Let me know! This grey one I’m wearing is under $50 and I just love this ribbed look. It is taking me back to high school —  ribbed sweaters were all the rage, you guys. You couldn’t turn a page in a Delia*s catalog without at least one ribbed sweater, a bucket hat, and flare jeans. God bless the 2000s; when bucket hats were taken seriously. What a time to have been alive.

I definitely got off topic and now I can’t stop thinking about bucket hats and where all of mine ended up. So I’m just going to end the post right here.

TL;DR — cute cardigan and easy everyday dress under $50 each.
