One of our last afternoon’s in Lucerne ended up being one of my favorites. (I know I use the word ‘favorite’ a lot — but only because I truly mean it. Favorites don’t replace other favorites, they just join them in the long line of things loved by Kendi.) We had a little bit of time to kill before our dinner plans so we decided to just start exploring every place we could. The sunshine was showing up and I didn’t even need a jacket, which was perfect for this scarf vest thing I picked up before I left. I wanted to wear it but didn’t want to during the rainy days, it’s perfect for layering under a coat but I wanted to wear it alone. Well my birthday wish was granted and the vest got to stand alone! (PS this vest is under $60 and I figured out that I can also wear it as a scarf! Double trouble.)

I think the thing I’ll miss the most about Switzerland is their coffee. Ok, ok and their beautiful old towns that seem to effortlessly mix with nature as if it were a movie set. But I love their coffee philosophy, as it’s a lot like mine — any time, any where and as strong as you can make it. I was rarely without a cup in my hand while walking through the streets or after lunch at a cafe. Just the way I like it.

  1. Love love your gorgeous Autumn looks! We are travelling to Europe from sunny South Africa this December. Please do a ‘what I packed’ post. Thanks!

  2. That vest is so great and I love the price! I just wish both reviews on it didn’t echo the fact that is fuzzes and pills 🙁 I’m gun shy to order it… have you had trouble with this? And what a beautiful place!! The pictures give me heart eyes…

    1. Hmmm I haven’t had any problem with piling or fuzzing, but I can see that with this type of fabric eventually. It’s just kind of a fuzzy fabric, if that makes sense! Often the pilling will happen when laundering, so I typically wash this kind of fabric it with other sweaters on cold and no drying because that will definitely encourage the pilling. So I haven’t had an issue with it, but I would say that this fabric is prone to that in it’s nature! Not a deal breaker for me, but might be for you! 🙂

      1. Gotcha – It makes sense:) I do know that type of fuzzy fabric, yes. Hmmm, decisions decisions! Thanks for your feedback!
