We are in a unique position here, friends. That’s right I’m talking about what to wear right now when you know summer is coming to an end but it’s just not quite fall. When we owned our shop and we would buy different seasonal collections, pre-fall always had me confused. Why do we need a pre-fall when we could just roll into fall (the best time of the year)? Oh. Right. Because pre-fall is the bridge between. It’s the olive branch of summer, apologizing for all of the hot days it put us through. I was just thinking we need a name for this time but all I could come up with was sall or sumautumn. I can see why they went with ‘pre-fall’.
So again, what’s a girl to do with these in-between days? I say find things that you can wear now and later. Like this dress for example — the high neck makes it feel like it can work later this year with say a slouchy cardigan, but it works perfectly for the dog days of summer, too. I instantly fell in love with this dress when I saw it on the New Arrivals at Nordstrom. (I always like to creep online before I go in store to shop. Or I’ll do in-store pick up because….I’m impatient like that.) So when it fit like a glove I was super excited. (fits true to size!) I also picked up a few other favorites for pre-fall, the second most wonderful time of the year. I thought I’d share them plus a few other summer to fall favorites below!
Also, this dress is a compliment magnet. I can’t tell you how many compliments I got. Ok, yes I can — 5. I counted them.
