I wore this outfit a few weeks ago on our trip to New York and it was one of those outfits I eye-balled and tossed in the suitcase. Luckily it worked out perfectly and it’s been one of my favorites to re-create since. This skirt is so lightweight it was perfect for the humidity but it feels perfect to transition into fall. I couldn’t believe how soft this skirt was when I got it — it’s almost silk feeling. (It’s not silk, but it’s a close relative.) You might want to put a slip underneath it, but I like living on the edge. Can’t you just imagine this with tall boots? I’m painting you a pretty picture, aren’t I?

I really love florals for fall. Is it too early to talk fall? I am trying to restrain my love for fall but it’s just my favorite. I love easing into it with darker colors but weather appropriate pieces. Texas trains me well — I have to fake fall until you make fall. This skirt is a great example of transitioning into the next season — trade a camisole for a sweater and you’ve got yourself a new outfit. (I also love this one from ASOS!) And of course for me, florals are year round. There is no time of year that I can’t find an excuse to pull out the florals. Florals for now and florals for later. Florals forever.

  1. I am considering to letting to sew a nice floral skirt from a local firm (search for Reparáda Brno), but they sew from cotton fabrics. This one looks so flowy, is it viscose or a mix? The link to ASOS didn’t work for me, so I couldn’t check.

  2. I never seem to shop well at Asos, I love so many of their pieces but always order the wrong things. Love this skirt on you! May need to grab it as well.
