B and I are so good at exploring other cities that we realized we don’t really explore our own. We get comfortable going to our well-worn coffee shops and restaurants and when we do try something new it usually ends up in our regular rotation. So we are using our weekends this summer to find new places to explore in Dallas. With a friends recommendation, we ended up in the Harwood District at a new coffee shop, Magnolias Sous Le Pont yesterday morning and felt like we were in a different city. Exploration day one was a success. All I know is my stomach is going to be very, very happy this summer.
This Isabel Marant Etoile dress is one of my favorite looks for summer and oh-so-easy to explore in. (Speaking of summer, happy first day!) You know when you order something online and you just can’t wait to get it in to wear it? That was this dress — I couldn’t wait to get this dress in but since it was an overseas purchase, I knew ordering and forgetting it would be best until it arrived. Turns out I didn’t have to wait at all. I ordered this from Luisa via Roma (an Italian company) and could not believe how fast I got this dress. Like within 4 days of ordering, you guys. That’s insane. While I’m so used to patiently waiting a while when I order overseas, this dress didn’t make me wait at all. So whatever magic they’ve got when it comes to shipping, I’m into it.
This dress paired perfectly with my Chloe-inspired espadrilles. I have loved the look of these chunky wedges, at first I didn’t know if I’d love this look but it’s been a welcome addition to my closet. (I think the 90s haunt me some times when I see a chunky heel. Must let go of junior high.) Of course what does a beautiful white dress not go with? I’m happy to test that and get back to you.
