When I think about how long I’ve been blogging, the thing I love to look back on the most is the trends that I’ve tried and which ones stuck around and which ones saw the door pretty quickly. As a shop owner for years it was at once fun for me to watch trends as it was pertinent to our business. One trend that I’ve seen have many lives are scarves, especially the spring scarf. It used to be the bigger the better, but nowadays for spring the small neck scarf is where it is at. At first I wasn’t sure if I could pull this neck scarf off, but honestly I love it. I feel classic and chic with just a little bit of my grandmother, in the best way possible. I also love this look with an off the shoulder top or dress. It’s a nice way to wear a scarf but without the bulk of a collar. Plus I feel very French, if I do say so myself.
Can we have a moment of silence for the volume of this top? I really had no idea until we photographed it this morning that it had this kind of bell shape which I love. I’m a sucker for anything that promises to not touch my torso. (I sized down to a small, if you need sizing! I feel like it fits pretty true to size though.)
This hat was a favorite from last spring and when we moved I had tucked these away in another closet. I found all of my lovely hats the other day and couldn’t wait to pull them out. That’s another trend I’m so glad I am brave enough to wear now. Hats and scarves, not just for the brave-hearted anymore.
