I have been on the look out for a watch for some time now. But my problem is that when there are a lot of options and I don’t know exactly what I want, I can not make a decision. So I put it off and off until it’s been years and I’m wearing a broken watch that is constantly set at 2 pm. You see, I have an older boyfriend watch that I’ve had for years and it has been through the ringer. It doesn’t tell time any longer, so it’s merely a pretend watch that I wear as an accessory which means I must constantly avoid all people who would like to know the current — and subsequently accurate — time.
So when Nordstrom approached me about my favorite spring watches I thought this was my time: I’m going to find a watch. Here’s my two things about watches: I want something that I can wear to (almost) anywhere and with (almost) anything. (I say almost because obviously some outfits just don’t need a watch). And my other stipulation? I want a leather band. A small but necessary distinction between all of the hundreds of watches out there. I ended up finding this Fossil watch set which came with a coordinating set of bracelets for a stacked look. This actually exceeded my expectations for an everyday, throw-on-with-everything kind of watch: it came with accessories. My accessory has accessories. Done deal.
This watch has quickly become a no-brainer addition to my jewelry uniform of simple necklaces, ear studs and a statement bracelet or ring. I’ve picked out a few of my other favorites I found on my spring watch search mission; a few with leather bands (which I’m really into right now) and a few without (because you might not be).
