I’d wear this outfit again 100% but next time…probably without the heels. In fact, I’m not usually in heels these days so let me explain the heels. B and I had an unexpected and late date night / babysitter offer on Saturday and I had zero time to waste. It was either get hair and makeup ready or fret about an outfit but not both. Typically I leave myself a good half hour to try on everything in my closet Grinch-style for every outing. But on this day — I had to be fast. Since I was already wearing these shorts I decided to toss on this new tee from Mango that I literally ripped open out of the mail moments before. Besides hoping it fit, I was always hoping it was unique enough to be ‘dressy’ and I took the chance and tossed on heels and a belt to move this outfit along. All in all, I think it worked for a quick, casual date night look. (We had pizza and wine at our old favorite haunt in Downtown McKinney.)
But now I’m envisioning this outfit for summer and it’s just perfect in my head. Here let me show you:
This just goes to show you that with a chic tee, you have so much versatility on your hands. I picked up this one from Mango, as previously mentioned. I forget about Mango you guys. It’s kind of an in-between of Zara and well Sezane. Obviously not as expensive at Sezane, but a touch more than Zara. This tee runs around $30, but the fabric is thick with a nice amount of structure. I’m in the medium. Fit is TTS!
These pair of denim shorts will be my shorts of the summer. I’m calling it now! I find them to run slightly generous, but overall I’m happy with the size 29. Find them from J.Crew here.

It totally worked, fun, and real! Love how you pulled it together on the fly, and that Mango tee sounds like a gem
