We had a busy weekend and I meant to post my Quince try on Sunday (and of course here on Monday!) While most likely  arbitrary to you, I like to do things in a similar order: try on then shoot to feature on my blog. I don’t know why this is an internal rule for me, but it is and I follow it religiously. But this week I guess I’m not religious, so you are officially getting a sneak peak at my Quince try on because this dress and this jacket are both included in next week’s try on. I will be singing their praises now and forever because I love both of these pieces so much.

I’ve been screenshotting basically everything from Reformation this spring for not only shopping reasons but styling. In fact, sometimes I just go onto sites like Reformation or Shopbop or Sezane just to see how they’re styling things right now. It’s a free service I offer myself. Anyways, this gingham dress with matching jacket from Reformation has been haunting me (with the matching jacket too) and one day when I was on Quince I noticed this new dress. For reference, here are the Reformation pieces haunting me.

It is exactly like the Ref one I want. But bonus — it’s a SKORT. I repeat there are built in shorts in this dress and if I could physically do a cart wheel I would. (Fast forward to me trying to put it on and forgetting it was a skort and *almost*  getting stuck in the lining.)

I can’t recommend this dress enough, as it’s very comfortable but also very chic. It’s very Reformation inspired and yet, it’s only $54. The fabric is a linen and it’s a lightweight feel but has plenty of structure without feeling stiff. I do think it runs a touch generously as this is the large and it’s bit big overall. I like the length of this one, so I’ll keep it but overall it’s a looser fit for me.

(I run in between medium and large at Quince for their dresses depending on the fit.)

You can find this dress here!

I, of course, still want a matching jacket to this dress but I took the inspo of that Reformation outfit and tossed the denim chore jacket over my shoulders in the same manner. It might not be an exact match, but denim complements everything. I sized up to a large for an oversized fit, but otherwise it is a relaxed true to size fit. Also this jacket was a best seller last year for me and they brought it back in the dark denim which I love even more! Find it here.

Fit Details

I am in the large but it runs generously! I sized up for room but honestly it runs true to size and the length is great! There is an attached skort, too. I am in the large of the jacket for an oversized fit.

Monthly Capsule Wardrobe

Each month I create monthly capsules out of my favorite pieces, perfectly curated for each month.
