You know what’s funny? Every time I think oh I need to do my WIWLW-ish post I think oh I don’t think I have enough to do a whole post. HA! Jokes on all of us because it turns out I have no less than 15 selfies in my phone from last week alone. One thing about your girl — she taking selfies. And apparently she’s forgetting about them, too. I think it is just ingrained in me now to snap a photo before I head out, so yay for content! And boo for my iCloud server.

I have to say I feel like I thrive in summertime. Not so much like my outfits are amazing or anything but I just feel so much lighter and more excited to get dressed. My serotonin levels truly need sunshine to thrive. So all of my outfits last week are bought to you by afternoon pool time, my love for denim shorts and those serotonin levels popping off.

Quince Linen Button Down | Similar Shorts | J.Crew Mesh Flats | J.Crew Tote

I’ve sold basically all of my denim shorts in my pre-loved shop over the past few years and this pair survived the sales. I think I have 3 pairs of denim shorts from my past and a few I’ve picked up this year. But this pair has been a favorite for years. It’s a madewell pair when they were doing vanity sizing and it’s loose and relaxed and I just love them. They always fit, even fresh out of the wash. Loyal, they are. I hesitate to tell you this number of how many pairs of denim shorts I’ve sold but you know what I think at this point we all know I have and have had a lot of clothing in my possession. I’ve sold 19 pair and I’m listing 3 more next week. Hoarding isn’t just a choice, it’s a lifestyle.

Madewell has changed their denim shorts fit lately and I can’t find any that fit like this, even though I’ve tried. I think your best bet is going to be the Agolde Parker, they fit identical to this. Size up if a looser fit with Agolde, as they’re 100% cotton. Find similar denim shorts here. But if *think* if you size up one on this pair of Madewell they’d fit similar.

The mesh flats are me easing my way into the jelly flats. I really like the idea of the mesh flats and this pair was gifted by J.Crew so it felt like a safe bet. But to be honest I LOVE them. It is admittedly weird to see my feet in there when it feels like they should be hidden, but once you get past that I love them. Super comfortable once they’re broken in. Keep that in mind because the elastic is tight at first. Nothing a little stretching and blister pads can’t help if you want to commit. Find them here.

oh ps this is the linen button down from Quince! Easy peasy to wear. I sized up to a large for a looser fit. Find it under $40 here.

Similar Polo (Tuckernuck) | Similar Shorts (Madewell) | Zara Sandals | J.Crew Montauk Tote

I saw an FB ad for this outfit from Tuckernuck and I immediately wanted to recreate it for summer. The problem was I didn’t have the polo. Now I *wanted* to buy the Tuckernuck one but I thought maybe I’ll just peek into my local thrift store (it’s literally around the corner) just to see if there were any red polos. And boy howdy were there. All faded, all from the early 2000s. This one is J.Crew men’s from 2005. Of course it is. And it’s the most perfect faded look too. Maybe I’m secondhand blind but to me it looks identical to this one from Tuckernuck.

Now — do I still want the one from Tuckernuck? Of course I do! Possibly the navy one. Do you not know me at all? But I do love that I was able to source this look so quickly and cheaply. Best 2.99 I spent all week.

Find the tuckernuck one here.  Or ya know, go thrift one. I found 3 in the men’s section in under 5 minutes so I’m assuming they’re abundantly stocked.

Same shorts as above. I’ll link similar here!

Gap Tee | Madewell Skirt | Zara Sandals | J.Crew Woven Tote

Ya’ll I didn’t steam this skirt and I KNOW you can tell because you have two eyes and high standards. Yes — I wore this out in public like this. And yes I did care but just not enough. Please forgive me this once for the eye sore. Sometimes my type B personality is hard to fight, so I let her win and then we have a good time. Wrinkled and a mess but fun!

No notes on this outfit. Well maybe — I think I liked the top half tucked over fully tucked by the end of the day but I didn’t get a snap of that, so just trust me. I still love this tee from Gap, it’s been a favorite this spring. It does shrink in length like 2% every time I wash it (I hang to dry) but I love her anyways because she has stayed smooth and soft. Find this tee here. (I wear the medium.)

My skirt is Madewell — perfect and with pockets! No notes. Except that if you decide to wad her up on your closet floor, you are going to need to steam the skirt. Lame. I’m in the medium, runs generously.

Mango Top | Agolde Shorts | Ref Sandals

This top is a full Sezane dupe. Like straight up copy but that’s none of my business as I’m just a peasant buying from the markets. Our Mango is right by the Great American Cookie company in the mall so my daughter’s priorities lend well to my priorities. And as I was *just* looking in Mango I immediately saw this top and jumped on it. It’s lightweight (slightly sheer in backlight but not so much you can see a bra just more silhouette) and it’s RAINBOW. Muted rainbow but still. I also paired it with these longer Agolde shorts and I felt like a mom straight out of 1988. In the best way, of course.

You can find this top via Mango here. I am in the large because I wanted it to be loose and Mango can be tricky to find your exact size. (It’s on sale too!)

And here is the Sezane one if you’re fancy.

Find my Agolde shorts here. They fit perfectly! I am in the 30 which is my typical size for Agolde.

Gap Oversized Shirt | Gap Shorts | J.Crew Sandals | J.Crew Tote

If you follow me on my LTK, you’ve seen this outfit but here it is again! This is the Gap set I bought back in May and have loved wearing. I’ve been wearing it to the aforementioned pool as a cover up as well. It’s currently sitting in the laundry basket waiting to for the laundry service to come by (jk it’s me, I’m the laundry service) but once it’s clean again, back into the weekly rotation it will go.

The shorts fit tighter than the top — probably should have gotten a large but I didn’t and was too lazy to exchange within the 30 day time period. So if you need more room in the waist, go up a size. Find the shorts here.

The top however runs very big / oversized. Go down a size if you are petite! Find the top on sale here.

Both my tote and flip flops (which I have mixed feelings about) are from J.Crew!

Quince Blouse (similar) | J.Crew Shorts | J.Crew Tote | Ref Sandals

This outfit was cuter in the first half of the day versus the latter half of the day. As it got more and more wrinkled and worn throughout the day. The shorts are a lightweight denim so they wrinkle as you sit and the top started out wrinkled so you can imagine. But overall it was cute, just looked very lived in by the day’s end.

Quince blouse runs boxy and wide! But very lightweight for summer. I’m in the medium, the short sleeve one sold out but find the long sleeve one here.

These J.Crew shorts are living up to my prediction that they would be my favorites this summer. I’m in the 29, they run generously. Find them here.

Anine Bing Tee | Agolde V-Waist Shorts | Ref Sandals | Quince Bag

Honestly this probably isn’t one I’d typically share but why not? I wore this when we decided last minute to go see Lilo & Stitch on a Saturday night. (So cute if you haven’t seen it!) And when I say last minute, I mean grab your shoes and let’s GO. So the outfit I was in was the outfit I was in. This is an old Anine Bing tee that I still love and my Agolde shorts that I got this spring from my Nuuly rental. (I ended up keeping these I loved them so much!)

Vitamin A Tunic | Linen Shorts | Quince Swimsuit | Crossover Sandals

I haven’t talked much about the Quince swimsuits on here but I highly recommend. I got this one you see here and this one and they both fit very differently but I like them both for different reasons. This one I’m in the large and honestly it runs a bit big. I tend to go up on sizes with swimsuits for length / bust reasons, but this one I could have gotten away with the medium. Too late now because I’ve worn it to the pool twice. And I’ve tested it in the water — it’s not sheer! I really took a chance at a public pool for you guys. 0 children were mortified in the testing of this swimsuit.

I’d say overall it’s TTS. There is light support for the boobs but not like full cups to give lift. It’s like a little boob pocket. I prefer this because sometimes lift and my boobs can be an aggressive look for me. I’m not trying to get a date you know?

This is the Vitamin A tunic that I love and Quince linen shorts. But I’ll link the Similar Quince Linen top that would work too.

(My sandals are old but I’ll link similar!)
