You know what paint color ‘agreeable grey’? Well I’d like to introduce you to her friend and college roommate, Unlikely Yellow. When they met, they didn’t think they’d be friends as they only have cool tones in common. But as it turns out, an agreeable grey works well with a pastel yellow. The yellow in this skirt is so subtle, but it has a vibrancy that still gives a pop of color. Yellow in general can be a hard color to wear if you aren’t looking to make a statement, because yellow likes to shout. But this is the nicest shade of yellow, she whispers, and I really feel like I can work this skirt into my whole spring vibe. Besides I’ve been really wanting to push myself with colors this spring but not in a weird way. I’ve got a closet full of neutrals and I want to mix them in effortlessly, instead of just tossing all my neutrals out and diving headfirst into the rainbow.
All of that to say I love this sweater because it goes with so much. I’ve worn it at least a few times a week since I’ve bought it. I can’t recommend it enough. Lucky for you this cashmere sweater is on sale –– as is this midi skirt — at Madewell this week. Madewell is having their Insider’s Sale (sign up for their email and poof! you’re an insider) and everything within reason is 25% off. I’ve rounded up my favorites below!

What’s the underpinnings situation with this skirt? I want it so bad, but i fear those VPLs.
VPL yes if you dont wear a slip with it! Slip helped me! And I had to do the slicker fabric of undies, not cotton bc it woudl stick!
looks nice.
