I actually bought this sweater last year — and not just bought it I SNATCHED IT OUT OF MADEWELL’S FINAL SALE HANDS. And did you see it on here last year? You sure didn’t. (Well actually I think I made a reel…but it never made its way to the blog.) I think I may have a bad habit of this: I find something that is a bit off, that I like but I don’t know if you will and then I squirrel it away because I get a bit shy? I am not quite sure why exactly but this little muppet sweater needs to be seen. She’s oversized in dull yellow-green and fuzzy for god’s sake, she doesn’t hide well. Jeans are a no-brainer for this but a fuzzy yellow sweater with a silky satin skirt? Big Bird could never.
I’ll be honest — I’m not going anywhere fancy today. I just wanted to get dressed. I actually need to be cleaning out a playroom and yes, you guessed it — cleaning up my closet. But as I was cleaning up my closet, I ended up finding this sweater and voila. I stopped cleaning and started trying on. I get a distraction from actually cleaning out a playroom and you get an outfit! Win-win.
Side note: will I find a new place in my house every day? Probably not. But it’s been grey on and off here so finding light at different times has been a challenge. I used Bryan today, not a tripod, too if you noticed a certain je ne sais quoi to the photos.
This skirt is a favorite of mine, also from…actually it’s from 2022. It’s a classic J.Crew look and on sale, too. And I’ll be damned — I found an almost exact dupe to this sweater We can be Muppets together.

Yes! I’ve been wearing a chunky cardigan of a very similar shade on repeat this season (thanks target!). It’s so bright and cheerful, i want to wear it every day! Sadly, i have to remind myself, in this case, people actually would start to notice if i wore it for days on end…hah
