I love all of the holiday trends — the bright reds, the sequins, the metallics. I love it all however and this is a big however here — I don’t love buying something that I can only wear for one reason or season. Therefore I am here to make a case for wearing metallics all winter long. Sure this top can easily be worn to a holiday party — pair this top with a faux leather or a black sequin skirt and SHINE at that party, girlfriend. But I find that this shirt can be a part of your normal everyday look as well. Pairing it with a simple pair of mom jeans and some heels can tone down the ‘holiday’ of the gold metallic shirt and just make it a bad ass top. I think sometimes when we are in the middle of a season like holidays, it feels like everything has to be seasonal. But  the bright reds (as seen in my capsule) and the metallics can be worn outside of a holiday party, too. I love taking a trend and making it everyday and I find dressing something down is the easiest way to do this. My tip: Dress it up for an event, and dress it ‘down’ with denim for an everyday look.

You can find my metallic top here! It’s the softest, luxe metallic shirt — it’s soft and the drape is perfect. I am in the US 8 or the UK12 and it’s a lovely oversized fit. This fits about a size up, so keep that in mind. Find it here with free shipping!

Did you know that these are some of my favorite jeans that I don’t wear much here? They are from Zara and I wear them all the time in my non-online life. They are truly some of my favorite jeans, the fit is spot on as a ‘mom jean’. So flattering as well. I am in the 29/8, they run TTS. Find them here under $50.

  1. Your metallic shirt, so soft and luxurious, makes me want to cross the Atlantic and the Far West to celebrate New Year’s Eve, just with you on the Golden Gate Bridge, until the end of the night… 🙂

  2. Absolutely loving your take on rocking metallics all winter long! That gold top is a showstopper—I can totally see it lighting up a holiday party paired with a sequin skirt or faux leather. But what really got me excited is your idea of making it an everyday staple. Badass move! Your style versatility is inspiring, and I’m totally on board with the concept of taking trends beyond the seasonal boundaries.😌 By the way,I have shorts from https://au.hellomolly.com/collections/shorts that share a similar style, and your post has me thinking they could be a perfect bold match. You’ve definitely sparked some fashion creativity in me. Can’t wait to experiment with metallics all year round! Keep shining, and thanks for the inspiration! ✨
