The 90s Called

…and they want you to give their updated jeans a try. 😉

Okay is it just me or is it hard to reclaim the 90s trends at times? Some things I’m here for — the sweater vests, the puffer jackets, the mini skirts, doc Martens, etc. But the 90s denim trend…it has been very hard for me to find a 90s style denim that fits me. Most of them are way too tight in the waist with no stretch and I’ve honestly at the this point just accepted the fact that it’s not going to be a trend for me. I can kinda get away with the look with a straight denim, but any time I see a 90s denim with no stretch I move on.

Until Madewell came along and decided to create a 90s denim silhouette WITH stretch! In fact there is so much stretch I think I could go down one size. This is the Madewell I know and love. I am in the 30 of the denim here and from the jump they fit perfectly. As I wore the jeans, they do loosen, so I could maybe fit in a 29. This is untested, but on a good day I probably could size down. This is probably one of my favorite pairs of denim I’ve found in a while. Also of note per the reviews — this rinse right here (the ‘enmore wash’)  is the one with the stretch! Other rinses I can not vouch for but it seems to be this is the one with the best fit if you are looking for not 100% cotton.
