shop: french connection crochet knit dress
Way back when I was in high school I was babysitting one day and the kid was napping. I turned on the TV and the only thing on was one of those PBS game shows. I can’t quite remember the premise but someone was asked how to pronounce ‘crochet’ by the host and the participant carefully, if not suspiciously, said ‘crotch’. And that clip has lived rent free in my mind for 20 years. So now any time — ANY TIME — I see the word ‘crochet…well you know what my brain does. It swaps them and on the outside, I hold it together. But on the inside there is a 16 year old girl giggling. Which brings me to my next point:
2023 Spring Trend: Crochet
(holds in a giggle) I have been seeing a lot of knit wear and crochet this year and I am loving it. Mainly because I’m planning for my upcoming trip to the beach and this dress has beach wear written all over it. Of course I didn’t want it just to read as boho or beach wear. I wanted to show that this dress can be an everyday piece as well. And I must say, it fits into my everyday quite nicely. This dress is just simply gorgeous. The knit is a thicker knit that covers completely (no sheer) and it fits really well. It has a hint of stretch but it is form fitting, just FYI. You can find it via Nordstrom here!
