This past weekend we spent completely outside, cleaning up our patio and backyard in preparation for the best time of the year: Patio Season. (Don’t @ me, I won’t hear any other arguments. Patio Season is the ONLY season for me.) It’s been sunny and warm here and we are firing up the grill for the next 6 months or so. It’s a win-win situation really — dinners are super easy and we get to eat outside. You can keep Christmas, I’ll take every single evening in the spring outside.

So after we got all of the mess cleared out and everything was nice and clean (sans some very impressive sidewalk chalk art which will stay put, according to a certain three year old), I realized I needed some decor to bring everything to life. It’s time to spruce up our old patio furniture a little so I bought some decor to give it some zhoosh. And I’m going to let you in on 2 secrets: 1) everything is well under $50 and 2) it was all delivered to my door within a few hours, all with a few clicks on my phone I had a whole new outdoor dining set up with Walmart’s Online Pickup & Delivery!

Decor to Your Door

Did you know with Walmart’s Online Pickup & Delivery, you can get more than just groceries? I use it weekly to get our groceries and to stay on budget, but it just dawned on me that there is more to shop! It’s basically a whole Walmart at your fingers tips and to your door (and it can be delivered in under 2 hours with the Express option!) I was in need of some new outdoor dining plates so I quickly found these faux marble ones on the Walmart’s Online Pickup & Delivery app and added them to my cart. (They are super nice by the way! I was impressed by them, if you can’t tell by all the photos lol.)  I also added in some napkins and new outdoor glasses, too. Of course no set up is complete without a few other accessories. See all of them below!

Groceries to Grill

Another perk of Walmart’s Online Pickup & Delivery is that you can get your grocery shopping done as well. If you are in the mood for steak but you don’t want to run to the store, there’s an app for that. 😉 I love to plan our weekend grilling menu on Thursday, then plan for a delivery on Friday so everything is fresh for the weekend. The delivery is dropped off at a time I’ve chosen with a contactless delivery to my front door. It’s a miracle for a busy / forgetful mom like me.

One hack: I keep a running cart open on my app so anything I run out of something in the kitchen or pantry, I’ll open the app and scan the item and add it to my cart, so I don’t forget!

Plants Please!

I also added in a few planters for succulents I recently picked up. Each of these planters are under $20 and gorgeous! Perfect for a little outdoor vignette. Sometimes I like to mix faux succulents in as well, and I found these cute little pots to add just the right amount of green to the table. (Plus Gemma had a blast arranging and re-arranging them. She told me those were hers and not to touch them. ;))

By the way, you can always do pickup for free but I signed up for Walmart+ for contactless delivery last September and it’s been my favorite time-saving / money-saving discovery. Each week my groceries are delivered and I always save money by not going into the store. Except now I’ve figured out that I can ‘wander’ around the store and put things in my cart from the comfort of my home….so the money saving thing might go out the window now. 😉 If you want to do pickup though, you select the ‘Pickup’ option in the app and orders are loaded right into your car; you don’t have to leave your car with pickup. It’s the easiest way I’ve found to save money and time with grocery (or, well patio decor) shopping.
