So Gemma turned three last week — I KNOW, I KNOW — and she had a few simple requests for her party: balloons, pink cake, paw patrol, and ‘everybody’. I could deliver 3/4 of those requests. Getting absolutely everyone in the world here — during a pandemic nonetheless — was a bit hard, so we saved that for another birthday.

Also if you want to know what two SUV loads of ballons looks like, here you go.

Gemma is obsessed to say the least with Paw Patrol, so it was of no question that this party would be Paw Patrol themed. Well — Paw Patrol and pink and purple balloon themed. I don’t think I’m quitting my day job any time soon to start planning toddler theme parties.

A sweet lady in our neighborhood does custom cakes and it was a hit! I only wish I could take credit for this handiwork. But no, all of my cakes I make end up as cake pops. 😉

I also found this adorable Paw Patrol top on Etsy! Might as well have a party uniform, right?? You can find it here.

That face when you just want to play and mom wants a photo. 🙂

Gemma is the sweetest and happiest three year old there is. She is very talkative, very smart, very kind. She can sing her ABCs and count to 11! She loves puzzles and anything Paw Patrol. Literally ANYTHING Paw Patrol. It’s such a fun age — everything is new and shiny to her and I want to keep things as shiny and new as long as I can. As I’ve always said, it’s good to be Gemma Rose.

  1. So no drinks and a dress for Gemma? I was expecting a Shirley Temple… the shade. 😆
