I can’t always guarantee that I’ll wear florals on Friday, wait — yes I can. If it’s Friday and it’s spring or summer I’m going to give you florals. That’s just the kind of girl I am. This skirt has been a recent favorite of mine, actually this whole outfit. I’ve worn it a few times outside of the blog — I’ve been cheating on you guys with this outfit.Ā But this skirt reminds me of something I had in high school, but in a good way. Not in the non-inentional ankle Ā jeans kind of way. (Side note: for all the tall girls out there, remember when they didn’t make longer inseams or a tall option for pants? So it constantly looked like you were wearing capris?Ā That was a fun time.)

It’s funny whenĀ trends come around again, like this tiered skirt. But lately when trends come back around again I feel like they are much more polished and updated. This style feels new again, even if it’s bringing back heavy 2000s memories for me. The good news is this skirt is on sale at Shopbop through today only! Have you checked the sale out yet? I still haven’t pulled the trigger on my cart and not surprisingly things keep selling out. You can see more of my picks here!

Happy weekend friends!

  1. Such a great outfit! I find it tricky to combine florals in a way that feels modern, but this outfit is definitely stylish and modern. Thanks for sharing!

  2. Love everything about this. It reminds me of what I thought I would dress like as an adult when I was in college. Makes me feel like I need to pull out my old little floral skirts and some pumps and just rock it.

  3. I love the soft hues in this look–I’m so ready for spring! The texture on that sweater pairs really perfectly with the floral skirt.

By the way, Iā€™m hosting a weekly favorites blogger linkup on my blog today. Iā€™d love for you to come share your favorite post of the week!

  4. That floral skirt is so cute! I remember them being big a few years back too. I really wanted one, but we were having a super cold winter that year and the spring stock seemed to come in store much too early. By the time I was thinking about bare legs again, there weren’t a lot left in stores!

  5. I love your skirt! Well, the whole getup to be exact. It’s still only about 30 degrees up here (which I remembered as I was putting on a dress to wear this past weekend), but hopefully soon it will warm up and bare legs will be a thing again!

  6. Hi Kendi, first let me say I love your blog and have been following for 4 years! I think you are funny and I really like your style. One observation I have had over recent months is that the bags and clothes you have been featuring/wearing are at a much higher price point than what you historically posted. I do not want to be negative or critical because I don’t feel it’s right to treat anyone that way – but it makes it hard to relate, when the items you are featuring are way out of my price range and have changed so much in the last year or so. Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate and love a good leather bag, shoes, etc. – I just wanted to mention my thoughts and ask. I am a girl who love fashion and can appreciate spending more money on items but some you feature are much more expensive than in the past. Thanks, Kendi!
